“The whole place was wonderful, but the staff was even better! ”

“Our first time back in Belize in 18 years . Umaya was the perfect place. The views over the lagoon towards the Maya mountains are perfect backdrop after a day at the beach and pool. The staff were great, very helpful with booking trips etc. The restaurant is excellent and the wood burning Pizzeria provides a great alternative. We will be back ”

“Authentic hotel to stay at. Beautiful. Note, there is a lot of seaweed so you can’t go in the water. Well you can a little on the left hand side. There are a lot of waves. I saw a couple go to the pier and jumped in for their daily swim. Also, the price for diner or anything you purchase at hotel from spa to food or anything else, it’s US Dollars. The other nearby hotels had Belize prices. I ordered ice cream from Roberts Grove and it was $8 US dollars. Hotel nearby charged. Belize dollars which……

“The property is very beautiful and well taken care of. The staff was incredible from the front desk to house keeping and taxi drivers! The Placencia offers transportation in town and arranges pick up for fun stuff to do as well.i will definitely stay there again! The locals are great people! Super friendly and accommodating! I love Belize and their people!”
