Royalton Splash Riviera Cancun, An Autograph Collection All-Inclusive Resort

Royalton Riviera Cancun, An Autograph Collection All-Inclusive Resort & Casino - Newly Renovated
4/10 Poor
"We returned to the Royalton after 10 years and boy was absolutely everything different. Our experience was the complete opposite of the first time we were there. The food was lacking, the service was terrible and they double charged my sister for spa services that she never used. They were refused to remove the double charges and told us that the spa was independent from the hotel, which makes absolutely no sense. We had to leave as we were catching our flight and they refuse to give us the checkout ticket until we paid even though we didn’t utilize those services. Every time we would ask a question they would send us a guest services who was not helpful at all. Honestly, it was a horrible experience and it was 24 of us celebrating my parents 50th anniversary. We are very disappointed. Never coming back. "

Excellence Riviera Cancun - Adults Only All Inclusive
10/10 Excellent
"I have been here several times now. Here’s what sets excellence apart from other resorts: wide range of quality, restaurants, including Indian and Teppanyaki; high quality alcohol included, including 1921 tequila cream that is hard to find outside of Mexico; two story rooftop suite is fantastic; Excellence Club services (if you choose a room in that section) are very good. New reservations needed for restaurants, and all of them are included. The beach is large and sandy, not rocky. There’s a lazy river as well. "

Dreams Sapphire Resort & Spa - All Inclusive
8/10 Good
"First and foremost, we enjoyed our stay at this resort. The staff were great from the moment you arrive until the day you leave. And that goes for all of them in all departments. The resort is very clean and the room we booked was as expected. The reason that it did not get a five star is because of the restaurants and wait situations. We paid extra to be a preferred club member customers and did not at all feel any preferential treatment. If you wait after 7 PM to eat, you would definitely be waiting at least 90 minutes to 2 hours. They have no reservations except for their Teppanyaki dinner. And even that I could never get a reservation except for 10 PM for one night. The fact that they have one restaurant that’s temporarily closed might be a factor, but they should’ve made other provisions. The food however, were all delicious in all restaurants, including the buffet every time we were there. Our favorite for breakfast was the Bluewater Grill and dinner at Bordeaux their French restaurant. We hope that when we come back to this hotel, this issue would be resolved. And a big shout out to Gerardo our bell guy and Sandra who’s in charge of housekeeping for room 110 in that floor. Their service truly stood out!"

Dreams Riviera Cancun Resort & Spa - All Inclusive
10/10 Excellent
"We had an incredible stay at Dreams Riviera Cancun and were honestly blown away. My wife and I typically travel to higher-end resorts, so we came in with tempered expectations—but this place exceeded them in every way.
The staff was exceptional—genuinely friendly, attentive, and always going out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. The food was outstanding across the board, which is not always a given at all-inclusives. Every meal felt high quality and thoughtfully prepared.
The resort itself was spotless, well-maintained, and incredibly convenient—everything you could want was right at your fingertips, making it easy to truly relax.
What really stood out is how well the resort is tailored to families. Traveling with kids can sometimes feel stressful, but here it was the opposite. There are so many activities, kid-friendly amenities, and thoughtful touches that make it just as enjoyable for children as it is for adults.
Overall, this was one of the best resort experiences we’ve had. We would absolutely come back and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a top-tier, family-friendly getaway.
FYI - get a poolside cabana EVERY DAY. It’s $100 for the day. It was a no-brainer for multiple reasons, especially if you have kids that need to get out of the sun for a little bit. You don’t have to fight chairs, it’s private and you have your own bartender. Ours was Israel. He was absolutely awesome all week."

Hotel Marina El Cid Spa & Beach Resort All Inclusive
6/10 Okay
"We had a fantastic time at the El Cid Marina PM with our grandchildren despite my complaints. We have stayed at this resort in 2019 & 2023 with grandchildren as well and we returned due to how wonderful a place it is for youths. What we noticed this last trip was that our building #19 was dirty. There was Coati (Mx racoon) feces in the stairwell for more than three days, it's likely still there!! We also found some of the staff unfriendly, especially Karin who is a hostess and also a server named Ananis at the Dolores. The quality of the food and the cookery of food is sub par. While at the buffet my grandson went for a scoop of vanilla ice cream, he was given a hollowed out scoop. He requested another and was refused! At a buffet!!! I question the maintenance of this building as well as the balcony rail was wobbly on our third floor room. The chairs in the dining rooms and the lobby are filthy. This resort is run down, they should spend a little cash on the "old" part and stop on the Ventos side. Reminded me of the shabbiness like at the El Cid in Mazatlan. We paid cash for the extra fees and then those fees were charged to our credit card, beware.....do not give them cash. I am sad to say that we will never attend at an El Cid again due to these reasons. "

Margaritaville Island Reserve Riviera Maya - An Adults Only All Inclusive
10/10 Excellent
"The gym was a pleasant surprise with the amount of equipment it had. The hydrotherapy at the spa was amazing! David was so kind and helpful. I the resort only have two restaurants steak house and Italian, the service at the Italian restaurant with Gabriel and Ryan was unmatched!"
