Not good. Reception is very nice but once you pass that, the corridors and rooms are very run down - the whole place needs some TLC. I had to move rooms due to an infestation of flies / flying ants in my bathroom. Stayed for two nights and room wasn’t cleaned overnight, asked why at reception and was told that rooms are only cleaned every 4 days!

Reasonably priced and within easy access of the CBS Arena. Breakfast was decent with plenty of hot food. On this occasion, I was in the older part of the hotel, which was quite a trek from reception. The room was adequate, with a decent shower. Ideally, a few power outlets close to the bed for phone chargers, etc., would have been useful. Only one useful socket in the bedroom meant unplugging either the TV or the kettle to charge any devices. The view from my room was of the unattractive bin store compound and the location where staff took smoking breaks. As a result of the proximity of the bins, the staff emptied their glass collection units into them, making a shatteringly loud noise. For some reason, this was done very early in the morning.

I stayed in a single bedroom and they’ve given me a room in the old attached which is very dirty. I took a video of it and the bed was so small. I kept slipping out of it. The bedroom furniture was too close to the bed and I kept hitting myself. I got a few bruises. I’m not sure how the newer building the conference side is but the older building is absolutely terrible. The breakfast was not nice like honestly the taste was really bad.

I booked a room here, not knowing that it was also being used to house boat people. That was not explained or divulged on the website when booking. Did not feel safe staying here and so I booked another place. I did not even get a refund, and it didn't matter. I was so concerned about staying here. You need to give customers a heads up of who is occupying the hotel. And what the hotel is being used for. If I'm spending my money, then I have a right to know.

Booked and paid for two nights two rooms for our son and my wife and I Tired propert awful beds got no sleep Poor service Food choice was awful We chose to eat out first night and after a terrible noisy night we checked out and didn’t bother coming back fur a second night Reception staff could not care jess as we checked out early Would never go back

No AC in the room. As a disabled person the shower was actually dangerous. On the morning of the first night, I arrived in the Restaurant at 7.05 and the Breakfast was not ready. When I asked when it would be available the lady just totally ignored me. The room was not serviced at the first day. Overall a pretty bad experience.

A Strange and Disappointing Stay – Wouldn’t Return I don’t usually leave reviews but our recent stay was just too odd not to comment on. On the plus side, the staff were generally friendly (with the exception of one female receptionist), and there was plentiful, free parking – though be aware you need to register your car on arrival to avoid a fine. Breakfast is also cheaper (but not worth it imo) if booked on arrival. We weren’t offered that so two hours after check in, were charged more - ridiculous! Beds were quite comfy. The hotel looks lovely in photos, but the reality is quite different. The building is clearly full of potential but feels tired and unloved. The exterior is grubby, with dirty windows and cobwebs giving the impression that it hasn’t had a good clean in quite some time. It really could be beautiful with the right investment and a bit of care. Inside, things are no better. The décor is a haphazard mix of cheap, mismatched furniture and fittings – it all feels a bit thrown together, rather than lovingly restored. Our room, while clean, had an odd layout that didn’t make much sense. More concerning was the fact that our nearest fire exit was completely blocked by boxes of flat-pack furniture, and a towel was being used to prop open a fire door. We also used the ‘spa’ area, which sadly continued the theme. The floor was covered in surface water that you had to wade through, and they use non-slip tape on the steps which was peeling off - yuk!

The lady that checked us in didnt have an ounce if good customer service at all. She knew our room wasnt simple to find yet she had me go on a wild goose chase. Breakfast nor dinner wasnt explained neither was checkout. Her attitude was not what you woukd expect being front if house. Chargeable pool was not good either when you are a hotel guest the £4 fee should be waivered.

Nice hotel with easy buffet dining and reasonably priced. Staff are helpful. Property is a bit dated but I guess that’s reflected in the price I have used this hotel a few times now.
