“We have been staying at Shady Acres for decades. It is still a mom&pop type of operation, if you need service 24/7, look elsewhere. Strictly a family and senior clientele, usually well booked up far in advance. We love it.”

“Its definitely a older hotel, but the room was clean and everything worked as it should. The lady in the office was very friendly and made sure our stay was up to our expectations. She was also helpful in locating a place for us to have dinner very near by. We just need a room to get ready for a local concert we were attending and a quiet place to return for the night to get some sleep before we headed home. This place met that and with the nightly rate, we will definitely be back if we return……

“The area was somewhat “sketchy”. The check-in person was very nice and the free complimentary breakfast was very good, although I don’t think they have it anymore. I used to stay because of the free transport to Silver Dollar City and free breakfast, a new Cajun restaurant is available and the people are very nice! . It’s totally different and outdated. However, the room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The washer and dryer were out of order which I needed after a day at Silver Dollar……
