"The location was great, and the hotel was fantastic. The rooms were clean, and the beds were very comfortable. However, the hotel’s email and advertisement stated that a restaurant and room service were available for ordering food. One evening, we tried to eat at the restaurant but were told that it was unavailable because they were busy catering for a large group. We also tried to order room service, but were told that they were too busy to take our order. Thankfully, there were plenty of places to eat around town, so we were able to go out for dinner instead. Apart from this disappointment with the food service, everything else was great, and we had a lovely stay."

"Both my friend and I had a lovely Stay in Hawshead. We'll defineley be returning again. Only thing i will make a comment on during our stay the Fire Alarm went off. We met up at the designated area, names were called got to the end then a Gentleman stepped forward to be forgotten from the Fire Call out. Got a good activation Call"

"Attic room needs a little TLC, bath taps looked old and velux window was taped in place. A few walls with marks on and the bed not the most comfortable. But nicely decor and very clean. The whole process is very impersonal, an email with a code to use the door and no real interaction with anyone other than staff in the restaurant. We left the room and no one around to ask how everything was etc. Left us feeling a bit cold about all. But it’s a nice enough place and it did the job. We just like the human touch a bit more than you get here."

The pub is a great, friendly place to spend the evening and the fact that they serve food is a bonus if you don't want to go out. All the staff we interacted with were friendly and helpful.
