“Wonderful experience from start to finish. Beautiful surroundings and wonderful food. Hotel staff were always friendly and helpful and we thoroughly enjoyed our chats with Theo and Grant. Our booked Meerkat experience was cancelled due to heavy rain but Theo offered to rearrange that for the following morning - and we are so glad not to have missed that! Grant was a wonderful young man - extremely patient with my husband’s beer selection and very helpful with advice on places to visit.

“We stayed here for one night en route to the wine area. Great place to break our journey after driving from Prince Albert, via Swartberg Pass and Cango Caves. “Our family stayed at Swartberg Country Manor for one night in February.
The first thing that greeted us was the beautiful grounds, and restaurant with a stunning view of the mountain. Then we saw a beautiful historic house with a big old stoep; here we enjoyed 3 very comfortable rooms. And let me not forget the kind and professional staff, including their head chef who made the most wonderful 3 course dinner! A gem! Thank you for a lovely stay. ”

Unfortunately there is no air con and the heat at night made it very difficult to sleep at night.
The bedroom we had was small.
The other 2 larger bedrooms had sliding doors on to a balcony,which you could leave open at night for some air flow.
There are 4 bedrooms upstairs in total
