“The sea view was charming at night once the people in front of the hotel went home. Very helpful and corteous staff. Unfortunately the air-conditioning system did not work well, the room stayed at 26.8° and so we ended up opening the window, which meant we could hear the traffic outside.”

“Zeer prettige ontvangst nadag we vanaf het station en de haven waren komen lopen. De eigenaresse had geprobeerd ons te bellen om ons op te halen van het station. Het is een kwartier lopen, maar met bagage de berg op is wel een uitdaging. Zeer vriendelijke ontvangst in een prachtige villa met brandschone kamers. Mooi uitzicht over zee en naar Sicilië. ”

“This is a grand old house, well-kept and beautiful on the Messina waterfront. It was really fun to stay here and we partied on the rooftop terrace until late, enjoying the night view and watching the ships come and go in the harbor. It’s a 15 minute walk to downtown shopping but there is a light rail train that stops right out front. There are some restaurants nearby. We loved the charm. ”

“Avevo una camera con una vista a dir poco spettacolare, posta in una posizione che ho trovato centrale e comoda! Non posso dare il massimo del punteggio semplicemente perché durante il mio soggiorno, seppur breve (2 notti) la mia camera non è stata mai rifatta. Per me non ha costituito un particolare disagio ma è una cosa che si nota! ”

“Cute little town. Sense of community, everyone is looking out for each other, but be prepared for not so easy accessibility, cobblestone tiny street from public car parking. The owner can help you organise private parking at a cost, but he’s none English speaker. He’s friendly and cool. ”
