"We just spent a four day weekend here, and we loved every minute of it. The weather one day was troublesome, due to a residual hurricane passing thru, but as it turns out, the cottage is a fabulous spot to watch a storm. Collette, the host, was wonderful. She was very proactive in helping us find things we might want to do, and was always very quick to respond to any questions we had. The cottage is fully stocked, clean, and exactly how the pictures describe it. I can’t think of a thing that would have made our visit any better.If you like birds, dark skies, and peace and quiet, you’ll love this place. We had dinner delivered the first night from a local pizza place (Roma’s, I think?,) which was fine, and way easier than cooking something myself. For Saturday dinner we drove the 25 minutes to Onnancock, where we ate at Mallard’s On The Wharf. We had a table in the dock, and it was thoroughly enjoyable. We’d go back. Last night we drove up to Chincoteague Island, an easy 35 minute ride, and had dinner at The Channel Bass Inn. It was incredible. They feature a five course prix fix menu, and I’d highly recommend a meal here. The ambience is mostly casual; the dinner was markedly upscale. I can’t imagine how the hosts could possibly improve on this spot. I’m so happy to have picked it."

"The Wachapreague Inn is a quaint, local treasure that is quiet and clean. We enjoyed our stay and the staff was incredibly kind and accommodating. The room was clean, the beds were soft, and they have great hot water! The town itself is very small and quiet. We were only in town for one night, but we hope to come back another time to stay longer and explore."

"The building was beautiful and the room decor was charming. Great pillows! Perfect location to walk around and explore Onancock. I would strongly suggest the owners clean the showerhead as the water was spraying in every direction and clean the blinds on the windows as they were visibly quite dirty."

"This is the 3rd time my husband and I have come out to this little gem of a hidden spot. We absolutely love bringing our dogs out here to disconnect. Terri always answers and is very easy to get ahold of if need be. The best spot to disconnect!"

"If you’re looking for a resort atmosphere, this isn’t it—and that’s exactly the point. If you want a beautiful, peaceful place to reset, unplug, and escape for a while, you’ve just hit the jackpot. Every second of our stay was perfect. I read all of the reviews beforehand, so I knew what to expect and came prepared. It was everything I hoped it would be and more. We will absolutely be back—without a single doubt."
