"Hotel Carolina truly exceeded our expectations. From the moment we arrived, the entire staff—from the front desk to housekeeping and the restaurant team—was welcoming, attentive, and always ready to help, including organizing our taxi with ease. The property itself is beautiful, with an incredible lagoon view that made our stay even more special.
The rooms were spotless, comfortable, and very well maintained. We especially loved the complimentary use of kayaks and paddleboards, which allowed us to fully enjoy the peaceful lagoon. The location is also ideal: about a 20-minute walk to town and roughly 40 minutes from the airport, offering the perfect balance between convenience and tranquility.
Overall, this hotel delivered more than we expected, and we would absolutely stay here again. We’re already looking forward to coming back!"
"We were really pleased with our stay at the AGAM - it was well located about a five minute walk to the lagoon and ten minutes to the zócalo. The hotel is beautifully kept with a nice pool and garden, and clean and stylish rooms. The bed was comfortable, though a little on the firm side. Breakfast was really nice, and the staff were fabulous. We had help booking tours, and when there was a medical emergency they really went above and beyond to help sort out some logistics. Abril, in particular, was incredibly kind and helpful during our stay.
I would happily stay at the AGAM again and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it! "
"One of the coolest places we’ve ever stayed. Amazing jungle setting, super cool rooms with amazing decor, romantic lighting, thatch walls, outdoor shower, awesome plunge pool at the front door. We loved the cats everywhere, the open air reception lounge, awesome, friendly staff and beautiful lagoon. This place was like a super cool, semi fancy Gilligans island. If you like boring, beige, generic hotel chains, don’t come here. "
"Very nice and helpful staff.
The conditions of the hotel are not updated, sheets and towels are not in the best conditions. We did not used the pool but we noticed someone cleans it. It is far from downtown but the staff can get taxis."
"Everyone I encountered was very friendly and willing to assist us. We had breakfast one morning. It was delicious. Those chilaquiles continue to be as good as 2 years ago when we visited for the first time. Thank you all."
