Bacalar Cenote Negro Hotels

"We booked the lagoon facing room and glad we did. Spectacular view, as advertised on the images. You can even hear the birds from bird island in the morning. Gorgeous sunrise. You can rent kayaks or paddle boards and we regret not hiring them to go see the sunrise in the middle of the lagoon. The hammock on the balcony was a great option. Very relaxing, and we were taking turns on lying on it, but there could have been a more comfortable seat in the room, as one of us had to sit on a beautiful but small and uncomfortable chair. or the bed. The overhead fan was loud. Massive TV. The shower pressure was strong, which we absolutely loved. The staff was lovely. We will definitely book this place again on our next visit."

"El lugar es realmente increíble, tiene una estética muy cuidada y es perfecto si buscas un espacio lindo para desconectarte y disfrutar. La atención también fue muy buena, el equipo es amable y siempre dispuesto a ayudar. Sin embargo, hay varios detalles que podrían mejorar, especialmente en términos de limpieza y terminaciones del hotel. Se notan algunas cosas poco prolijas que hacen que la experiencia no esté completamente a la altura de lo que uno espera al ver el lugar, que definitivamente es muy “para la foto”. A pesar de eso, lo recomendaría, sobre todo si valoras el diseño y el ambiente por sobre esos detalles. Con algunas mejoras, podría ser realmente espectacular."

"Very bad hotel…. Every thing is falling a part…. Terrible maintenance…. Furniture old and obsolete …. I rent the room at Laguna Hotel Bacalar for 5 days…. I did not stayed there…. Only for a few minutes…. I grab my belongings and I left to rent another room some where else near by (Casa Arabe) I don’t understand how the City authorities allowed the hotel to operate under this circumstances…. I paid a lot for this hotel that is not worthed…. I don’t know how Expedia is willing to rent rooms for them….Extremely super UGLY property. Francisco Saldana"

"Delicious breakfast with fruit, yogurt and granola with a choice of egg. The coffee was excellent. The view on the lagoon and the infrastructure was breathtaking. The room was clean and the design fit perfectly with the general vibe. I recommend staying at least two nights to truly enjoy the space in its entirety, something I regret not doing. If I come back to Bacalar, I will definitely stay here again."
