“Property did not meet expectations. Room was very awkward with TV viewed from the side of bed not the foot. Bath tub was extremely small. Window ledges were extremely dirty. Light from hallway was very visible in the room. Not very sound-proof. Noisy hallway. Toilet was extremely low. Few tissues were left in box and when used asked for replacement but was told they needed the empty box before a replacement was given. Pool was not available but was not made aware of this until after check-in.……

“Maintenance has fallen drasticaly since last there a few years ago. Saw 2 rooms because 1st room the AC quit. Both rooms had many chips, closet rod/shelving loose at one end, heavily worn furniture. But it was clean. Will not stay there again. Many pot holes in path to hotel.”

“The property was clean and modern with free coffee/tea/hot cocoa 24hrs. The front desk staff were polite and lovely. The room was spacious and clean with essentials and extras. Bed was so comfy! The breakfast was the a wonderful surprise; amazing quality and variety of food, clean, fresh & delicious.”

“ Rey clean lovely condo with a wonderful view of the river. Sunrise was gorgeous. Bed was super comfortable. Colonial beach is my new favorite little vacation town. Very friendly people. Our host was so responsive and welcoming. Much appreciate his quick response to questions. There were a lot of steps to climb to get to the condo but that’s probably a good thing for a Bach front property. We would definitely love to stay here again. ”

“We stayed for seven days. It was uncomfortable to only have two forks two spoons. We had to wash every time we ate. It felt like the space had been sitting a while. There were lots of spiderwebs. The fans had a coat of dust on them. That was sickening. This is my first negative review ever! I appreciated the beautiful Patuxent river and the quick response and communication with the owner. We feel like we just didn’t get the most bang for our buck. It was a splurge for us in an expensive room and……
