"Great hotel, all good,however we chose this hotel to be able to charge our E V car overnight after a long journey however twice the charger failed. The staff did send me to another EV charging station not at the hotel . I then walked back and waited the following day for it to charge.This totally spoilt our stay. "The staff were absolutely excellent in every way and were the best thing about the hotel. Thanks to all the staff for being so helpful and so friendly. The breakfast was good in terms of choice and availability. The fruit could have been fresher. The bar area was great and offered great services and refreshments. Just a couple of small things re the room which explains why I didn’t give 5 stars. The pillows were very hard - we were a big party and had several rooms and everyone had that same feedback. Also my half of the bed was on a slope. The shower head was immovable so you have to wear a shower cap. However it was clean and the towels were changed daily. The parking wasn’t particularly easy. It’s great if you’re staying the weekend as there’s a fantastic rate at Nottingham station for that, but outside of that, navigating parking can be tricky."

"Good all round hotel but plonked in the middle of a modern industrial estate. A good 15 minute walk to the airport and NEC. Breakfast was good with a usual selection of cooked and continental. Staff were spot on! The only down side of our visit was that a refurbishment was going on at the time. Even the name of the hotel has recently changed to AC by Marriott!"

"This hotel was well kept and the room was clean. The reception team were helpful and polite. The grounds were well kept also. The rest of the hotel I wasn’t as impressed with. We were “selected” for an upgrade “offered” for an additional £20 but upon checking this it was the usual rate on Expedia, so hardly an offer! The room was very basic and it was a superior room, I dread to see the standard room. The shower was designed for someone under 5,8ft as I had to crouch to get under it. We asked for a quote room but I doubt there is any such thing as it’s right on the flight path, motorway and train line so it was very noisy throughout our stay. The walls are paper thin so could hear everything. The pool was freezing cold so my son wouldn’t go in it and the jacuzzi was only for over 16’s for some random reason, so as a family we couldn’t even enjoy that part. The gym also was for over 16’s too so another facility we couldn’t use. We didn’t try the on site restaurant as the prices weren’t cheap and you gave resorts world next door with loads of variety to eat and slightly cheaper. The positive is that it’s close to the nec and Birmingham int station. I’d look around for better budget hotels next time."
