“Casa Carolina is a beautiful boutique hotel in the heart of Cartagena’s Old City. The location is unbeatable—you can walk everywhere and never need an Uber. With only 15 rooms, it feels like staying in a private home, and the pool is gorgeous. The staff and service were amazing—truly one of the highlights of our stay. A few things to note: the wellness-style menu is healthy but doesn’t offer many snack options. Street performers outside (especially drummers) can be very loud at night, though……

“The Movich hotel is right in the middle of all the action. Perfect for walking everywhere. We could not be happier with the service and the views from our bedroom. The Clock Tower, or "Torre de Reloj", is the main city gate of the historic center of Cartagena. Originally known as Boca del Puente (The Mouth of the Bridge), this entrance to the fortified city once utilized a drawbridge to cross the surrounding moat. A pendulum clock was added in 1871, and replaced with a more superior Swiss clock in 1934 which is still in operation to the present day.
