"The Good: The sheets and towels were always fresh & clean, shower & hot water good. Parking excellent. Heat & A/C unit excellent. The Bad: This place is for anyone who only needs a shower and a bed. All 4 pillows on the bed rate the worst I have ever had around the entire world. I have no sense of smell, and I could smell stuff that I could not identify. No elevator which I was told up front so you have to climb a straight set of steps. I CANNOT BELIEVE THIS HOTEL COULDN'T AFFORD TO PUT OUT SOME COFFEE IN THE LOBBY OR THE "NOT USED, FORMER" BREAKFAST AREA. There is no staff other than a person sitting behind a window. The Ugly: Our room was a complete mismatch of furnishings. The entire building (including our room) is very old looking and worn out. Our bathroom door would not close and has patched holes in it. The owner need not respond to me. I think you should be ashamed at how cheap and rundown this place is. Jeffrey Lynn & Wife 04/22/2026"

"Perfect for an overnight stay before an early flight. Easy to find/get to; clean; lots of options to eat within minutes (seconds if you like BK). We will stay here whenever we’re flying out of JFK. "

"We were surprised this is considered a 4 star hotel. It is in need of a renovation. The property appeared old and run down, the main elevators weren't working or were very slow. You could not drink the water unless you are an elite member. The duvet was in between 2 thin sheets and not between an actual duvet cover. The room was clean however, which is the most important thing to me. The staff was also kind. It is also very busy with events (weddings, dance competition, etc.)"

"Property deserves zero stars. Had an awful experience. Booked through Expedia but when arrived at the hotel somebody named John could not find my booking. After several minutes of trying , he phones his boss who was able to find my booking. Once I was given the room, it was several buildings down despite the entire hotel being empty. The toilet flush was not working. The wash basin was stained. The room was probably last updated in 1950s. There was no chain lock on the door. The outside had lots of unsavory characters hanging out. I wanted to leave but I was so tired, I just crashed on the bed."

"Room was clean Shower water was not hot, sink took forever to drain and temperature control of room was difficult Could not check in when we arrived because of some computer glitch. Had to edit an additional 30 minutes That would not be so bad if we could have checked in early but you had to pay an additional fee $50.00 to check in early do we waited until after dinner. Keep in mind we already prepaid for the room in advance.."

"The room was extremely small which isn't a big deal and although it looked clean at first, we saw the walls looked really dirty or stained & we kept finding long hair everywhere. The room was not kept up as in the floor was very worn with large dirty gaps which is definitely not a housekeeping issue. The bed was very nice, clean & comfortable and the towels were very clean as well. The staff was absolutely welcoming, accommodating and extremely pleasant. Overall, the rooms need to be maintained/renovated - as I said, I don't think the condition was a housekeeping issue but a maintenance issue. For the price, it's a good stay."
