“Stayed here many times in various rooms. Always spotless and comfortable.”

“The staff and food at dinner were lovely. Breakfast wasn’t run at quite the same standard with a lot of mistakes and delays on orders. The room was nice, although the finer details could do with a bit more attention (dust in corners, dirty grout in bathroom). Bed nice and comfy, unfortunately we were near the road so a bit noisy but that can’t be helped. The resident cats will wake you up early whilst they’re waiting for breakfast though if the traffic doesn’t! We were charged £25 extra for……

“Nice amenities and comfy bed with nice linens. Pub and dining room are downstairs so noise does travel as rooms are over the pub. Staff very friendly. Good food in the downstairs restaurant. Right in town and sidewalks for getting out and about in the small village. ”

“Lovely large room but disappointed about the size of the small double bed. Room was also very hot in the mornings. Tea and coffee refreshments were not topped up during our stay. Apart from the above comments a lovely hotel with lots of character.”

“A business trip and had a commercial meeting at ESSAX suite, everything was well! Service was nice, restaurant offers typical British breakfast. Only a problem, the air conditioner will be re-set to the low temperature randomly. ”

“Great place to stay overnight near the Stansted Airport. Breakfast is included and starts from 4am, hot dishes from 6am. Takes 10 to 15 mins from the airport with shuttle bus. ”

“The reception when we arrived was great. The staff member greeted us as we approached the desk and our room was ready. The key card didn’t work but a member of the housekeeping team allowed us access to our room. The breakfast team were friendly and accommodating.”
