Excellent homestay

My boyfriend and I really enjoyed staying here. The house owners and the staff are nice and helpful. They can speak fluent English. The female owner can also speak fluent Putonghua. We gained a lot of help and travelling advice from them. The room is clean and spacious. The breakfast is delicious. This homestay is a little bit far from the Hoi An Ancient Town. But it is easy to go down town. The Hijal House is highly recommended. We will choose to stay Hijal House again if we go to Hoi An.

The hotel is in the new development area, the road light was not so many. But it was easy to go to down town. The host and receptionist were extremely help. The female owner speaks good English and Chinese . Well visit again if I have chance.

Very honest

The location on the hotel is very close to Hoi An ancient city and the Japanese bridge. The staff there are very helpful. On the day I was flying to Hoi An, I recieved an email from the tour guide saying my tour got cancelled due to bad weather and I was very stressed about having no tours during my stay in Hoi An but once I stepped foot into my hotel that night, I was greeted by the receptionist advising me that the tour guide has contacted them regards to the cancellation of tours and that they (the hotel) can book me to other tours. They also advised me that they are many companies doing similar tours so if I just decide on the day before 7am, they can easily just book and pay at the spot - easy!! The staff also told me the average prices for street food and I am so glad that they did because as soon as I started speaking in English, the locals increased the price by 3-5 times the original price. I enjoyed my experience with Hijal House and to be honest, I felt like a honoured guest more than a customer.

A little piece of home!

We had such a great stay with Le and Wynn! The house is lovely and spacious, the hosts are extremely friendly and helpful and it is worth far more than what you pay. We only wished we could have stayed more days with them!

Gem in Hoi An

This is a gem, especially for travelers who are looking for some personal touch in their trips. The rooms are clean and spacious that matches the pictures posted on the website. I think it's important tip to share. I've been to hotels that have awesome online pictures but only to find out the condition is less than expected.. The staff at the hotel are very friendly and speaks good English. We met the owners and they are very helpful and giving us tips in visiting Hoi An. It's big plus for us, as we love to enjoy our travel like the local does. It gives us opportunity to appreciate the local culture more. We rented a moped from the hotel and did a lot of exploring in this beautiful beach city. You will love this place if you want to swap the big hotel experience with a friendly local run business.

Home away from Home

Excellent homestay with beautiful people that shows you how wonderful Vietnamese people are. Mrs Hong and family goes the extra mile and took very good care of me. I didn't feel that I was travelling alone and away from home; as they try to make sure my stay is comfortable and recommended me the best places to eat and best tour to do. They gave me nice memories of Hoi An and I was even reluctant to leave. I missed the care that Mrs Hong and family showed me daily. She is always checking what I did today and suggesting what I could do tomorrow. She made me feel that I was not travelling alone. All her every concern and attentiveness to my needs touched my heart. I am very thankful for the lovely time Hijal House gave me and I definitely will go back again to visit them. Travelling is not just about seeing the sights but also meeting people and making good memories. Hijal house has all the comfort of a great homestay.

Fuldstændig fantastisk!

Vi har rejst rundt i lidt over en måned i asien og det her var det bedste sted vi har boet indtil videre! De var så søde og hjælpsomme! Det var samtidig en oplevelse at se hvordan en vietnamesisk familie bor (dog gælder det nok ikke for gennemsnitsbefolkningen). Vi vil i hvert fald til hver en tid anbefale at tage et par nætter her. Hoi An er samtidig en super hyggelig by :-)
