“Had a great time with my friends here”

“Students in my lab and I stayed here while attending a conference at Cornell, and then my family of 3 stayed afterwards over the weekend. We really enjoyed it because it was conveniently located in a very quiet neighborhood close to Cornell and everything we wanted to do, with plenty of street parking just in front. It’s 10 minutes or less walking to Ithaca falls, Cascadilla gorge trail that goes up to Cornell and College town, a couple of restaurants, Ithaca bakery, and a couple of really close……

“Stay here. The local lake-front hotel was sold out, so we went to VRBO (first time we have used the site for a Finger Lakes rental). Great location. Close to Watkins Glen and the east side Seneca Lake wineries. Our unit was very clean. Good/easy communication with host. We shall return.”

“Everything was great! This place is super cute and had everything we needed! The property was really close to Watkins Glen and all the nearby attractions. We would stay again for sure!”

“The view over the lake was spectacular for sunsets and especially full moon! The place was spotless and had everything we needed, with very comfortable furniture. Could use a small step stool to get into and out of the bed, and maybe a small half door across the stairs for safety, especially at night. ”

“Could have used more paper products (tissues, napkins, paper towels) and a few plastic bags for kitchen items, mainly food leftovers. Otherwise clean, attractive, comfortable, and convenient.”

“Loved our stay here!! The hosts have thought of everything — it’s well-stocked with everything you need. They are so kind and will go beyond to make sure you’re comfortable. The place is quiet and peaceful. It worked really well getting to / from campus. Close enough to take quick breaks between activities but far enough to feel away from “the grind.” Will definitely be back!”

“this place is delightful! clean and cute, it's exactly what was pictured! the property is beautiful - surrounded by fields and little mountains. so quiet and the night sky is beautiful. there were so many yummy snacks and coffees that made the stay feel extra homey and the decor is really cute. my dog loved it, too!”

“This is a great little apartment. It had everything I needed and was squeaky clean. Downtown is a very short walk away. Conor was a fantastic host. Very responsive and helpful! I will absolutely be staying here again.”

“We very much enjoyed our stay at this lakeview VRBO! The property was very clean and comparable with the online photos. The view of the lake through the glass doors can't be beat and the location was central to many great hikes and wineries! The bed was comfortable, however, the pillows were very flat and a bit uncomfortable. We made use of the kitchen for breakfasts and to cook dinner one night - it had all the appliances and cookware we needed. The only problem we had was that we could not……

“The apartment is located in the downstairs of a split level house with family living upstairs. It was in a lovely quiet neighborhood, about 7 miles from downtown Ithaca. The entrance in the back of the house was easily accessed but if you have a family member with mobility issues this might be a problem. It was clean and there was a lovely welcome basket full of snacks, coffee pods and a bottle of wine. The single beds were fairly uncomfortable but the queen bed was fine. Furniture was dated……

“This charming little apartment is in a great location, off the beaten track but still within a few minutes' drive of downtown Watkins Glen. The view of the lake, at least in Fall, can't be beat, and we could hear racers at the Speedway doing laps in the morning. The pictures are accurate -- the bedroom is very cozy, but the living area and bathroom are good-sized and the kitchen and bath are nicely modern with full-sized appliances (no mini-fridge here!). Couple things stand out that I must……

“Came for 3 days to visit Cornell with my daughter and this home was perfect. Small, yet not lacking anything, rustic but lacking none of the modern tech. The backyard waterful, fire pit and views are worth the stay alone. Would definitely stay again.”

“We had a great weekend staying in the property. The wood burner was great for a chilly early spring weekend, Elizabeth was very clear and accommodating in her communications making it very easy and everything was just great. My only regret is not booking the third night to stay for the Solar Eclipse and to get to explore the property further. We thoroughly enjoyed the area and the accommodations at the Yurt were perfect for my wife and I!”

“The location directly on the lake is amazing with large grassy yard right up to the lake’s edge without need for any steps…surrounded by 270 degrees of water. House itself is modest and quaint with nice furnishings and decorations and very comfortable beds and well appointed with everything you’d need for a lake vacation. Hanging out in the hot tub and dock at sunset over the lake was the best! Highly recommend this rental!”
