Darien Bar Hotel

"Hotel is dated. Room had an odor. Tv didn’t work. Requested assistance from front desk who said they would send maintenance but never did. Front desk staff were unfriendly and impolite. Internet was slow. Water system ran all night. "

"The room was charming, clean and comfortable. Not like your typical big-chain hotel for sure. Convenient to the lighthouse and other historical sites. Will definitely recommend to others and am already planning g a future stay. "

"I had not been informed that the building was under construction. There was a jackhammer going non stop. The shower did not get hot and it whistled. The light in the bathroom was super dim and with the shower curtain closed it was dark. The floor was as dirty. I stayed here about 10 years ago and it was great. Sad to see it so rundown."

"Room was stinking like hell. Asked for service, cleaner came to my room and just sprayed on the carpet within 2 mints and gone. Wash room smells like someone smoked. "

"States for the night while traveling the room was clean and comfortable. The hotel is definitely an older building, but it looks like BW is working on that. The pool area was amazing."
