“We had an extended stay with a family member receiving medical care. It could not have been a better experience. The location was excellent and within easy reach of our needs. The house was nicely furnished and set up. Check-in and check-out took minimal effort. Cherie was easy to reach and responded in a timely manner to questions. I felt like I had a local friend during a difficult time. I can’t comment on warm weather activities, but I would think it would be a great location based on the……

“Room has an amazing view. Bed and linens were good. Pillows a bit flat. Bathroom needs update. Had to call out the for service about the toilet being clogged twice. Very nice service staff. Had plenty of food options onsite. Overall pretty nice place. A bit on the pricey side though. ”

“The location was great, walking distance to downtown, no problems parking and quiet neighborhood. But the slow filling toilet was really annoying. Sign says it's a "water saver" but that's not the way water saver toilets work. Something is wrong with the fill valve. Also the couches are worn out. The curled edge of the rug in the one bedroom is a trip hazard. Also didn't like the lack of a place to put soap and shampoo in shower.”

“I stayed in Anchorage as my launch point to Denali and Seward/Kenai Fjords. It was good to be able to extend my stay and book the female dorm last minute in the days in between my trips. The manager, John, splits his time between the midtown location and downtown, and I found he was the most helpful in booking my transportation and the Kenai Fjords cruise. Overall staff were friendly and keep the place tidy despite how many ppl were staying there. It is a budget hostel and nothing fancy here.……
