「Excellent simple accommodation with shared bathroom. Extremely clean, warm and relatively quiet (for an old building). No notification of door key code as promised but staff resident so no issues with 21:00 check-in. Would definitely stay again.」

「The guest house is just over a mile from the city centre and I guess you get what you pay for, so on that basis you’re really can’t complain. However, some of the shared facilities could’ve been cleaner and I guess the place hasn’t been decorated this century if you want a cheap place not far from the city centre this is okay but don’t expect anything special. The one good saving grace of this place is that is just around the corner from the Causeway whether there are great pubs and it’s a lot...

「I had a very nice stay at the Open Arms Hotel. The staff were very welcoming and made me feel at home. The room was first class with a view over the village green and very comfortable. The lounge area with the open fire is lovely and relaxing being able to have a pre- dinner drink and review the menu. It was a very enjoyable stay and will definitely be returning again in the very near future.」

「This is a converted pub with an Indian Restaurant on the ground floor. Food very good cooked to taste, no breakfast offered/available. Rooms clean but dated. TV not tuned in, only BBC channels available. Good shower/bathroom. 」

「Fantastic location with lovely views of the East Lothian countryside. Lovely time just sitting, watching the Highland Cows. Accommodation is spotless with everything you need. Owner is so helpful. Highly recommend if you want to get away from it all and just slow down for a few days.」
