“Hut was well stocked with all the stuff you need. Great hot water & pressure in shower. Clean, cozy & comfortable beds. Host was very friendly and helpful. Loved our wood fired hot tub. Just be careful with the water level once you start adding people!”

“The view from the cottage is outstanding. A long wooden table in the conservatory to sit about 8 people. There are comfy chairs too to relax in. The lounge is kind of rustic and a wee bit dark during the day. Ample table lamps to give a nice aura when it’s dark. I think there is way too much furniture in the room to be honest. Kitchen is small but has everything you need. 2nd bedroom is ok. The main bedroom is ok lovely duvet and bedding. Plenty storage. A bit narrow to get around the bottom of……

“The accommodation was exactly as described and wonderfully cozy and comfortable. A family of 3 we had plenty of room and found the beds comfortable and the amenities perfect. The host, Rachel, was extremely welcoming when we arrived and made sure to let us know where everything was and how it all worked. The location is wonderful with little light pollution and so the nights are amazingly starlit with the fire pit available for use if you wish. We would absolutely return ”

“We had a lovely time at larch lodge, location was just perfect. The lodge is very spacious and has everything you need. Hot tub was all set by the time we arrived. Great place for a weekend away. ”

“Beautiful, peaceful, cosy. I could go on. The cottage was modern and cosy at the same time. There was a welcome hamper which contained a variety of items which would allow you to eat if you’d brought nothing with you including a cuppa or cappuccino ( with pain au chocolat). The host welcomed us and was available and asked how things were in passing. I would recommend this property and location to anyone. We had a wonderful time.”

“We wanted to stay in Melrose as it was perfectly placed to visit family living in the area . We were delighted to have chosen the cotttage as it was in a perfect location only a 2 min walk down to the Market Place and the shops Melrose Abbey ,pubs, coffee shops and restaurants. We had on street parking outside the door another plus! The cottage sleeps 4 but we were just a couple so had lots of room . The beds ( upstairs) were very comfortable and the upstairs shower room had plenty of water and……

“The Gate House is exactly as described. The property is small but very well appointed (in fact, it felt the perfect size). The host was quick to respond to queries and both thoughtful and detailed in replies. The views of the surrounding landscape are beautiful. The hot tub is nice. The main drive for Hetton Hall is nearby but that wasn’t an issue. We enjoyed a few nights of relaxing time in this excellent property.
