Located in Old Town Edinburgh, this apartment building is within a 10-minute walk of Festival Theatre, Royal Mile and University of Edinburgh. Edinburgh Castle and Grassmarket are also within 15 minutes. St Andrew Square Tram Stop is 13 minutes by foot and Princes Street Tram Stop is 16 minutes.

Our stay was good. The openness of the bedrooms was unexpected but it wasn't a problem. The apartment was centrally located and in walking distance to everything we wanted to see.

Excellent location for sightseeing. Plenty of space for our family of 5. The kitchen was well equipped for cooking. Lots of great places to eat within a five-minute walk and less than 15 minutes to get to the castle. There is a pay parking lot just a short walk up the street. We really enjoyed our time at 5 Drummond House.

Not what we were expecting

This apartment is relatively close to the Royal Mile and Museum which was nice. Large hole in dry walk by window in living room, Carpet has tear marks on stairs. Worst part was the checkin process. Couldn’t get ahold of anyone bc of the way they have “Sasha’s” number listed…we stood outside with a 17minthnokd for almost and hour. I tried contacting them all day visited only to be told “we dont get emails from VRBO on the weekends”

Gorgeous location, great host, but connected bedrooms

This property is lovely and the location is superb for a stay in Edinburgh. The host was very communicative. The listing however is not entirely clear that the bedrooms all interconnect. The first bedroom on the upper floor is basically in a landing area, which you have to walk through to access the second bedroom. The first bedroom also has an open half-wall (to provide light) looking down into the living room. The second bedroom has a similar half-wall (although with venetian blinds) looking down into the lower floor bedroom. There is also only cupboard space in the lower floor bedroom, although hooks and hangers are provided for the others.The property does have two bathrooms which was great, and the location itself may well make the odd bedroom configuration a worthwhile trade-off, but it's something to consider in advance!
