“Calheta Beach Resort is a simple yet lovely beach property. Some reviews say ‘dated’, but I think that’s the charm of the place. Food was good, not great, but service was fantastic all across the board. Easy to get to and easy to take day trips to Porto Moniz and Funchal. I would recommend Calheta Beach. ”

“Très belle vacances à Madère, très belle vue à l’extérieur du logement, mais ne faite pas du cuisine avec la poêle car plus de revêtements dans le fond, la pomme de douche n’en parlons pas, et l’odeur au niveau de l’évacuation tout simplement affreuse et l’appartement également en y rentrant”

“El apartamento está limpio pero un poco dejado con mobiliario y sanitarios muy viejos, lo que le da un aspecto sucio. Enseres de cocina escasos. Considero que es adecuado si se va sólo a dormir. Tiene una terraza muy amplia con excelentes vistas. Perfecto para desayunar o cenar. Junto a ella, hay una barbacoa.”

“We had a fantastic stay with Maria. The rustic property was in a cute, quiet, and private location with an amazing view of the ocean. Easy parking was available below the church, which was a 5-minute walk away from the property. The garden and view were highlights of the property that we will always remember. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would recommend the place to anyone wanting to visit Madeira.”

“Miguel hat uns sehr nett persönlich empfangen. Das Haus ist sehr schön und modern eingerichtet. Sehr gepflegt, alles vorhanden, was man so braucht. Der Meerblick ist fantastisch und die Lage ist sehr gut um Ausflüge zu machen oder zu wandern. In wenigen Minuten ist man in Calheta am Meer, hier gibts alles Strand, Restaurants und einen guten Supermarkt. Leider gab es in unmittelbarer Nähe eine größere Baustelle, die man nicht sieht, aber hört. Trotzdem haben wir unseren Aufenthalt sehr genossen.”

“I have mixed feelings about our stay at Joao's place. We were a bit disappointed to find the state of the place; we emailed the landlord but he did not respond until Vrbo contacted him. Positive: - location: the view over the ocean is spectacular! - silence: it is a quiet area, only residential. aside from a couple of dogs once in a while, there is no outside noise - sleep quality: the (hard) mattresses worked a charm and we slept really well - good fun with the table tennis in the common……

“No hot water…never!!! Tv…Wi-Fi…jakuzi…don’t works. Melt on walls ok…insects…mouses…can be. But after all day-trip I want hot shower! According review others people…6 years is still too short time to fix hot water!”

“We stayed for 5 night, the property is in a lovely quiet area with street parking available, I would definitely recommend renting a car. The owner and his son were quick with communication and very helpful. The property is a lovely older building with plenty of character, clean and everything was in working order. There is wifi in the common area which works well and the view from the rooms is fantastic. ”

“Friendly and helpful lady (owner). Big house with all you need! Even the wifi is of the latest version. You can sit outside with a nice view. If it is colder or with rain you can sit under the roof. Kitchen fully equipped, perfect shower and cozy living room. Recommended!”
