“I’ve traveled to various European destinations in Mexico and South America, but I’ve never encountered a five-star hotel with such a poorly maintained system. The patio was littered with discarded boards, and the shower leaked. The housekeeping left dirty towels in the rooms, and there were even dead roaches on the floor. My children had bites on their arms and legs when they woke up in the morning, which I suspect were bed bugs. I called the hotel and notified the front desk as soon as I left……

“I would not recommend staying at this hotel. My experience was very disappointing. There were roaches in the dining area. While my wife, another couple, and I were eating, roaches were coming out of the table. When we told the staff, they said they already knew about the problem. I also found a dead roach in my bed, which was very upsetting. The dresser had a broken strap hanging off. The entry door to the bathroom door handle was on backwards. I had to put it on the right way. The service was……

“The hotel is great. In a great location to be able to visit the entire island. Great beach and several restaurants within a short walk.”

“The own beer Doug was super helpful and sweet. His wife decorates the property immaculately. The pool was down and no cushions but we were so busy exploring the island and beaches that it had no effect on our satisfaction. A great place to stay if you’re on the island. Would highly recommend for couples selling a quiet, romantic escape or groups selling a semi-private party pad. ”

“Great stay! No-frills hotel, but room was spacious with a nice balcony with an ocean view. Bed and pillows were very comfortable and staff was great. There is a breakfast place in the courtyard which was convenient. This hotel is across the street from the water in the heart of Frederiksted. This is not a swimming beach area, but more accessible beaches are nearby. Frederiksted is a cool town that is recovering from the last hurricane so there is a lot of work yet to be done, but we love that……

“I would stay here again. We were here 9 years ago and loved it! It was just as good this time. Views are wonderful, beach is very nice and not crowded, bartender Connor was excellent and food truck was delicious!! We fell in love with the cats around our cabin. All in all, this place will always be our place to stay!! ”

“MAJOR miss that the website does not note that there is NO elevator available and it was third floor walk up! No mention on website that there are actually 2 separate hotel buildings and only one has an elevator. Room was clean. Housekeeping did not replenish courtesy toiletries. Super loud generator right next to room. ”

“The room was comfortable and had more amenities than other places I have stayed in St.Croix. The owners were friendly and helpful. The views were beautiful and the breeze enjoyable in the evening. You do need an all wheel drive vehicle and should definitely arrive while it is still light out. The WiFi was dependable.”

“The room was great, except we should have asked for a room on the first floor, as the stairs left us out of breath. Checking in was a breeze, front desk staff is friendly and knowledgeable. The beach chairs and the ferry are at no charge to guests of the hotel, that was a nice surprise. They are renovating rooms and improving the amenities. The beach is perfect. Rolling Smoke BBQ on the beach is on point, delicious!!!! Bar staff is always top notch when I visit! All in all, a great stay and I……

“The apartment truly does sit in the heart of Christiansted - a perfect location for popping out to a local dinner, browsing local shops, heading out for an excursion, or ducking downstairs to the juice bar. The space was well maintained very clean, and provided everything we need. We had a great time and would definitely recommend this apartment for a trip to Christiansted.”
