I voiced all of these things and got no response from you guys. Bugs everywhere. Homeless lady on porch who ate my delivery food. Then got into the house. Cooked. Sat in the kitchen. And then took off when I mentioned police. The lock on my door broken. The toilet was clogged the whole time. No remote control made the TV useless. And you people are impossible to contact

I want to warn other travelers about my experience at El Mare Hostel. The stay was extremely disappointing, and the conditions were nothing like what I expected when booking. The room was unbelievably small, more like a closet than a real room, and it had no windows at all. The bed was a small cot with plastic covering on the mattress, which made it almost impossible to sleep comfortably. The space felt cramped and poorly maintained. The entire building smelled strongly of food because people were cooking near the rooms, and the odor filled the hallways and sleeping areas. It did not feel clean or comfortable. What made the experience worse was the management’s response. I contacted them about my concerns, but they did not seem to care or attempt to resolve the issues. I was also charged an extra $40 just to store my luggage, even though I did not have access to my room at the time. This charge was never clearly explained beforehand. When I checked out, there were several people arriving who had reservations and had no idea how to enter the property. They were standing outside confused and trying to figure out how to get in. I took pictures because the situation was so disorganized. Overall, this was a very frustrating experience, and I would strongly caution others before booking here. Buyer beware.

Misrepresented, apparently this is a room within a shared house with other what appeared to be roommates. Walked in to group of people in the room. Place is in a back alley feeling sketchy by railroad tracks. Not ideal for family or a couples stay. I don’t recommend.

La verdad es que el anuncio no da muchos detalles, y llegamos pensando que era un lugar boutique, que aunque sencillo, fuera comodo. El bano era común, estaba sucio, la alfombra estaba sucia, la habitación con cama dura, un plastico debajo de las sabanas q incomodaba, almohadas durísimas, se sentia como estar en una casa de extraños compartiendo todo, sin seguridad. Nos costó muchisimo poder dormir unas horas, mi esposo en la madrugada optó por ir a sentarse en el Comedor y desde alli, con la incomodidad tomó la decisión de irnos. Nos fuimos a las 5am a otro hotel para poder descansar unas horas, darnos un baño limpio (porque NI USAMOS el de La mare). Terrible. Nunca lo recomendaria, y menos pensar en que gastamos $240 por ese ratico tan desagradable para nosotros. No obstante aun así preferimos volver a pagar en otro lugar aun fuese x apenas unas horas de uso, limpieza y paz.

Tv would not get channels but there was a remote contol in my room and when asked if someone could fix it i was told even though all others rooms were working that it did not work. Bad . It was freezing out and my room had no heat and system that was on the wall looked as if it melted.

We paid for a room with 2 beds, we got a closet with one bed. We ask to change rooms. We ended up getting a room with the same bed just a bigger room so it did nothing for what we wanted. It was freezing in the room. I know you can't control the weather but the owners knew that is was going to be cold. There should have been space heaters or at least extra blankets provided. There were none. Another couple came to same day and paid for a room with a double bed because there were 2 of them. They got a single bed. They were also told there was a person at a front desk which is not the case. These people lie to their customers and do nothing properly to fix the problems. Never again.

Messaged the property several times with no response. Contacted expedia and they also could not contact the property so I booked another stay. Expedia was supposed to cancel this booking, but once again couldn't get in touch with the property. I definitely wouldn't take the chance of staying at this property.

Absolute disgrace and not in any way suitable for guests! It was dirty, noisy, in a questionable area, and there were signs of illegal activity going on. The fact that this place calls itself a "hotel" is beyond inaccurate; it's a residential home with some rooms in it that the owner rents out. Worst part is that within hours of lying on the bed, my husband and I woke up with terrible rashes on our skin, likely due to bedbugs! We tried to contact the owner but got no answer, so we were forced to leave at 2:30 in the morning! This property shouldn’t even be listed here and should be removed immediately! DO NOT STAY HERE, AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!
