This is a civil war era house.If you have a problem with stairs, first floor will be better for you - as the stairs from parking to the 2nd floor back entrance are not easy. Also, as this is a very old house, don't expect new, modern or posh. But if you want to stay in a house that appears to have been used by confederates in July 1863, this is a good choice.As I was not expecting the……

“Great communication with Melissa in preparing us for our stay. She was very responsive to our needs. The home is very modern, lots of space, plenty of beds, and a great fire pit by the river. Easy to get to Whitetail Ski Resort from here and just 2 hrs outside of the DC area. Could take a day trip to DC if we wanted to. We enjoyed our rural West Virginia holiday. ”
