“Stayed here after we flew in to St. Thomas in order to take the ferry to Tortola the next day. Staff was excellent, rooms were comfortable and had what we needed. We loved it. The views, morning coffee, location to town, and wish we would have stayed longer. Will stay again the next time we come to Charlotte Amalie”

“Front desk staff was very helpful; the only issue I had was the pullout mattress was like a pancake. I felt the springs when sleeping; I asked for a new mattress and they weren’t able to replace it but did send extra bedding.”

The simplicity might be a little less than what some want, but the stay met every one of our needs. The environment was beautiful and the beach was our favorite on the island! “It's convenience and spectacular view of the harbor over looking Charlotte Amelia for our last night. The front desk lady on the mid-shift was so pleasant and knowledgeable to our questions. The restaurant's atmosphere was perfect for my wife and I as we lived in the VI for many years. To finish our stay, our taxy driver was like a private tour guide to the airport. What more do you want ?”

“It’s a stunning, unique hotel. One great way to keep the wrong people from visiting? Tell them that there are no televisions in the rooms! From my perspective, that’s a big plus! And it signals that this hotel, combines luxury, history, and is aimed at the type of traveler who did not come to watch TV..”

“The Island View was charming, the views were fantastic, and the staff were friendly and attentive! We had an earlier morning and they were very kind to make us a breakfast to go. Food was great! If I had to come up with any complaint it would be that the pool (shaded for a good portion of the day) was a bit chilly, but my husband didn’t mind that.”
