“This place is a real gem! It’s clean, charming, unique, and filled with history. The innkeeper, Karl, will happily tell you as many stories as you have time for. The room was lovely, as were the various common areas of the old mansion. I particularly enjoyed relaxing on the large front porch and enjoying the scenery—not only is the hotel itself a great find, the location is fantastic! It’s situated directly across the street from Allegheny Park which has the National Aviary as well as several……

“Our family of 5 (3 teens) loved the Traveler's Rest! This hotel has so much more character and charm than a standard hotel in the suburbs. Our teens described it as a "Wes Anderson movie vibe." Our beds were comfortable, the Byer's' Suite with three beds, two bedrooms and a private washroom was perfect for all five of us, and the common area is comfortable with great coffee. We are so happy we had a chance to experience an authentic Pittsburgh neighbourhood while in town for a youth sports……

“Our stay at the Kasa South Side was good. Not fantastic - but pretty good! Pls read to the end to get our full input... We had a bunch of issues that were pretty irritating (pull-out bed was not usable... it was ONLY springs and there were no sheets; thermostat was hard to figure out... it was missing the cover with instructions; the parking/entering building was confusing upon arrival & the parking lot was on the complete opposite end of the building from our Kasa; only one set of elevators……
