“Noisy seagulls ”

“We have been here many times over the last 20yr . I belive you get what you pay for. The staff are nice but you need to ring for sevice as desk is not manned. The rooms are dated but clean beds are comfy. We got a double double there qas plenty of room maybe a few chairs would have been nice. Last time we went was a few yr ago and we had the use of the pool this is no longer available. Parking is limited and some times not the best if customers deside to block you in but it is free. “We enjoyed our stay at the Sands apartment. It was a nice area with lovely views looking out to north beach. We stayed in a duplex apartment on the ground floor and felt the bedrooms were a bit small and cramped. Not enough storage space eg. No chest of drawers in the main bedroom and only 10 hangers between two adults. We lived out our cases. The outside patio area and chairs were filthy and not cleaned for our arrival. Having seen inside another two bed On the 4th floor it was far superior in……

“The Blacksmith Arms Inn is a beautiful estate with so much history and character. The owners and staff were all very friendly ready to share stories from long ago including hosting a luncheon for Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip just 10 years ago. Fascinating conversations! The only con is exiting the grounds. The building is located on a curve and the street is boarded by tall shrubs. During the day it can be very dangerous exiting the parking lot. At night at least you on coming headlights.……

“It was a convenient location. It was good to be able to leave the car outside the guest house, and for it to included in the price. My husband and I enjoyed the views from the bedroom window overlooking the bay. However the bedroom was smaller than we expected. The staff and customers were friendly. We expected our 'own' bathroom to be in our bedroom, as opposed to being on the landing next to our bedroom. ”
