“Property was clean, pictures advertised where exact, host was attentive and fixed problems right away, kept us informed and checked in to make sure we had every try ing. Offered a free night and bottle of wine when they couldn’t fix the power outage even though it wasn’t their fault. Security on site at night, grocery store a close 5min walk at the most. Central location to subway and train system.”

“This was such a wonderful and unique way to spend a few nights in London - both the narrowboat itself and the location. Staying on the water is a world apart from any hotel experience, The rustic charms and quirks of narrowboat living and the sense of community with other boat dwellers made it special. Everything was spotlessly clean and communication throughout was great. There’s also a great pub just across the footbridge! Highly recommended for a couple in search of something beyond the……

“The narrow boat is lovely and very well equipped with a lot of thoughtful touches throughout. The beds were comfortable and the wood burner welcome before bed. Great location! Easy walk to Paddington and the Hop on Hop off bus stop. I would stay here again! ”

“The houseboat was absolutely lovely and the space very effectively used. I loved being there at all times of day and night with the beautiful view of Browning Pond. The Papillon was the most beautiful houseboat I saw the whole time I was on the canals, and it was interesting to see the movement of some of the others that are not permanently moored. There were many appealing restaurants in walking distance, bus service very nearby, and it was great fun to sit up on the top deck as I had wonderful……

“The accommodation was nice, but the service was not. The accommodation is very conveniently located, clean, and has plenty of shopping options nearby. The kitchen is simple but adequate. The mattresses in the double bed, however, are a disaster! Very cheap, worn, and saggy; they should have been replaced years ago. A disgrace for the price. We considered sleeping on the floor. “I’ve stayed in various places in London over thirty years but never on a houseboat. The location is lovely, quiet, and interesting. The houseboat itself is roomy and beautifully decorated from any vantage point. The beds were comfy and the rooms charming. The houseboat is conveniently located near the DLR station, a market, and a notable pub and has a great neighborhood feel. James’s hospitality and helpfulness were exactly what we needed. He answered questions quickly and gave good suggestions.……
