“We had a great stay! Everything was just as listed! Every area was very clean, kitchen well stocked, plenty of towels provided for our 2 night stay. If i could change anything it would have been to add a nightlight of some sort in the twin room. Unfamiliar place/noises and it was completely dark for my daughter. No lamp or nightlight in that room. Also a few of the cabinet doors need tightened down.”

“The house and backyard was a lovely little getaway from the city and very close to the Indiana Dunes National/State Park. Spent a lot of time on the back deck enjoying the backyard, bird feeders, and listening to the owls beyond the train tracks. The firepit and gazebo made it enjoyable, even as it rained. The house itself was clean and has everything you needed. Highly recommend.”

“House itself is very cool and stylish and comfortable in all areas. It’s early spring and the property yard and outdoor areas listed were not cleaned, wet and damaged or in unusable condition. Fortunately the windows clearly showed off the beautiful trees around the property from inside. Note the very large cleaning fee is not revealed on the listing.”

“We needed a perfect setting for Mom’s birthday visit with her sister in Valpo, including a first floor bedroom and first floor walk in shower This is it! The bonus was that my sister and I each had a private bedroom AND an evening in the hot tub. So cozy. So well appointed. So clean. Even our white slipper socks stayed clean when walking around inside. The beds and pillows were VERY comfortable and both quantity and quality of linens were superior. Loved it! Can’t wait to go back again.”

“My family and I enjoyed a relaxing stay at Dunehaven! We wanted to visit Indiana State Dunes to experience a beach made from a natural lake. It was cold in May, but didn't stop of from enjoying the sun and sand. The hot tub was easy to use and firepit at night was needed after a long day. The home was clean, inviting and the beach was so close. Literally, it was just a two minute drive. I recommend getting out and exploring the road towards the Michigan state line. Michigan City is only thirty……

“The property was clean, spacious, and in a great area central to many attractions including the Dunes! Neighborhood felt extremely safe! There was 8 of us total (4 kids, 4 adults) and we never felt cramped. Robert was wonderful to work with. Would stay here again!”

“Listed as private home , once you get there and read the house rules it states shared refrigerator with owner. Owner comes in while you are gone and turns off all lights and the Ac, even goes into your locked room to turn off ac.”

“This cottage is located in a quiet small town just minutes from the beach! We stayed there comfortably with four of our children. We decided to get a National Park pass to explore Indiana Dunes National Lakeshore. Central Beach was a 5 minute drive from the house, so we went there daily. We appreciated the gas grill in the backyard and wished that we found time for a campfire. The neighborhood is small and quiet, but groceries and great coffee are only about 7 minutes away in Michigan City. We……

“We LOVED our stay here and plan to be back! Perfect cozy house by the beach. The deck is so nice and gives you so much extra space. Owners were very responsive and helpful during our stay. Steps down to the beach are fairly steep. I brought my arthritic 10 year old dog and she did good, but keep in mind for older dogs or anyone with stair issues. Parking is right next to the house which is so convenient. I honestly can’t think of any other amenities that would have made the trip better!”
