"The hotel hosted a wedding during our week stay without notifying guest until arrival. The infinity pool, beach club, and restaurant was all closed during our stay during this event. On two different nights music was so loud it echoed our room until 2:30am. Staff did nothing to help make our stay better after multiple attempts to speak with managers. Paid thousands of dollars for a terrible hotel experience. Thankfully the island itself is beautiful and we spent our days exploring it. "

"The sewer backed up in our room and I had to ask for our room to be changed. That should have been an automatic. The bathroom floor was flooded, poop in the shower. "

"The staff at this property was the BEST I have ever experienced. The property was horrific. I saw multiple roaches in my room. I went and told the manager and the upgraded me to an ocean view on the beach room were the door had a large crack in it and I was bitten by mosquitoes all night long. I attempted to contact Hyatt's corporate office which they didn't take down my number or email and we hot disconnected. When I called back they said I never called in to that number. Hyatt is the worst I have dealt with and as much as I travel I will never stay at there hotels. "

"We had a lovely stay in a 3 bedroom villa at Livingston Jan Thiel. We loved that it seemed newly renovated and was very private. We loved our outside terrace with the hammock, couch and eating area. The pool area is lively and a short walk to the beach! The beach passes were great. One disappointment was that there were no laundry services available as advertised but staff recommended M R laundry around the corner and they were great and did the laundry for us for a small fee! The fact that there is a grocery store and restaurants right near this resort is so convenient. The kitchen had things for basic cooking but we would have loved a toaster and baking sheet. Overall I would recommend and we may go back ourselves! "

"We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful house. The location is a perfect walk to zest beach with a couple restaurants and bar. There is also a small store an easy walk away. "

"The house is amazing for a large group. Nice pool and everyone has their own bathroom right in their bedroom. It is in a residential neighborhood so you have to be very quiet. The beach that is walkable is very very small. The bars and restaurants walkable are great and the grocery store is convenient but pricey. We spent three of our seven days at Lions Dive so definitely check that out! BE AWARE on this house we had 8 people for 7 nights and ended up with a hefty electric bill. We all planned on using the laundry available but our clothes would not dry. Overall great property just wish I would’ve known these minor details."

"This is a nice, clean villa in a good, safe location. It is a short walk to Jan Thiel Beach area with beach, shops, restaurants and grocery. While usable, the appliances in the villa need replacement. The racks in the upstairs apartment size refrigerator were all rusted. The downstairs refrigerator is a larger side by side but every door bin is missing so the refrigerator got filled up pretty quickly. The clothes washer was tiny and literally took about 3 hours to do a small load. We had to wash our beach towels everyday because each person was only given one beach towel. We could fit 4 towels in the machine. There is no dryer but we could dry towels on the line before the next load was done washing. The outdoor area is the star of the show. The palapa is wonderful and the covered patio was no doubt the most used area of the home. Unfortunately the decking around the pool is showing its age with some severe weathering and rusty screws. We worried about splinters in our feet so we wore flip flops around the pool. The decking does not look like the online photos. The very large resident iguana visits several times a day and we had to keep cleaning up the feces around the pool.There is no air conditioning in the main part of the villa. The kitchen and dining area get extremely hot. Each bedroom has its own A/C. The upstairs railing is low, very rusted and a safety hazard. This is a nice villa but not a “luxury” or “first class” villa as advertised. "
