「The location of the property was ideal and having easy beach access was great. We enjoyed Mamdo Beach. The cafe in the hotel was a wonderful place for breakfast or lunch. Our room was very large and the bed was very comfortable. The view could have been better but we really didn’t spend much time in the room except to sleep. They need more parking. If parking is full and most nights it was we had to park next door and pay but the hotel did reimburse us.」

「Took my daughter here for a graduation trip. Avila is the oldest hotel on the island, it has history behind it. It was a nice hotel. Very laid back, relaxing environment. The onsite restaurants are just ok. Servers move extremely slow. Although, I found all the food in Curacao to be lackluster. Front desk staff were excellent, very helpful with whatever we needed. 「This is a nice small hotel. Very comfortable. Beautiful location on the coast. Our one complaint is that it is listed as on the beach. It would be accurate to say "on the sea", but not "on the beach". It is on a rock outcropping which cannot be safely navigated to the water. There is no sand at all.
