"My wife and I loved our time at this property. It has a very cute garden where we would sit and have tea. We also enjoyed the art display in the living room, which was all made by the host’s mother. The property is in an area away from the city where we could get a taste of everyday life in Japan, so we were delighted every time we walked to and from the train stations. "The property seems to be recently updated, it is modern, and clean. The amenity is lacking a few things (for example, it tells the guest to wash dishes and put them away but doesn’t provide a clothe to dry them). Also, the instruction isn’t super clear. The instruction reads to leave the key on the table when checking out (that’s what it says literary in English), when in fact you need to lock and put the key in the lockbox as one example. Hotel Hankyu RESPIRE OSAKA

10/10 Excellent

"Hotel is directly above the huge Yodabashi Camera department store and food hall and across the street from Osaka Station making it extremely convenient to shop, hop on the JR and Metro to see other parts of the city, and find places to eat. We had a room with 4 beds which was very spacious. Breakfast buffet is fantastic with an extensive variety of both western and traditional Japanese options."

"Highly recommended!!!! Great location, 1 stop away from Kyoto Station (bullet train and all other major train and subway lines). The area itself is quieter, a 7-11 right next o the hotel and a grocery store about 15 min walk away. The hotel however is a stand out! It has a very calm, spa vibe throughout the hotel. The rooms are spacious, the amenities are plentiful. We stayed in a 3 twin room (2 adults and 1 child) the bathroom has a tub and shower wet room with separate toilet room. The public onsen is a welcome addition. The buffet breakfast has lots for both western and Japanese palates. I am astonished this is not considered 5 star and will likely be the best stay during our Japan trip."

"This hotel was fantastic! Great location, close to Kyoto station, clean, staff was super helpful, they provided many items such as face masks, hair oil, toothpaste, toothbrush, coffee, tea, etc… we did not try the breakfast but they have a happy hour with nuts, juices, beers, etc. Richmond hotel made our Kioto stay memorable!"
