“We had a really lovely stay at Chesford Grange. The hotel itself has a peaceful atmosphere, and our room was comfortable and clean. The bed was very comfortable and it was a great place to relax. The only downside was the spa facilities, which felt quite dated and could do with some refurbishment. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.”

“Room directly facing rubbish collection point, so flies flew in via the opened window. We immediately asked for another room, and the staff took actions promptly. But this room seemed to be vacant for some time, as it was quite dusty.”

“The steps up to the rooms are quite steep. Room 21 was very small; it is much smaller than any room we’ve stayed in before. Managing two large suitcases required strategic piecemeal unpacking and repacking. The twin beds were comfortable and the air conditioning was excellent.”

“Could hear lots of movements from Other parts of hotel when trying to sleep and again early morning voices for first two nights. Got a different room for last night much better. Had breakfast one morning and was disappointed to be told at 8.30 chef not available. When suggested refund the manager went and cooked breakfast. Not great to good quality. Did not have breakfast again. Ps; toast was cold.”

“The current owners have only had the property a short while hence my poor comment on decor and maintenance. They are renovating the property however the staff were very polite and helpful. Our en-suite rooms although dated were clean. The beds and bedding were clean and very comfortable. Breakfast was very good, ample choice only negative comment I can say is ceramic mugs/cups would be nicer than the ones provided. We wish them every success.”

“Check in could be improved. Arrived to a busy pub with customers waiting for service at the bar and no designated check in desk. Several staff just walked past us with our bags and no one acknowledged we were trying to check in for several minutes. The room was okay but not as shown on our booking confirmation - it was an attic room with very steep stairs and a not very safe landing area outside the door. The bathroom had been shoehorned in under a sloping ceiling - there was no shower, just……

“A very cosy & modern hotel in a quiet & secure location with the loveliest yet professional staff. Spent a night during the work trip, was a perfect place to unwind despite being on the warmest day of the year! Food from the Bistro was very good & the breakfast was Excellent with a wide range of quality choices. Highly recommend for work trip as well as short getaway. Will definitely visit for latter next time!”

“The Ettington Park hotel is an extraordinary English Family Castle with a great & long history. Our stay in this hotel was extremely comfortable and relaxed. Despite belated arrival at night, we were all welcomed by their staff with thoughfully arranged dinner & wine & porter services of many bulk luggage. “We stayed here for the weekend of26th June , what a gem of a place to find . Room was lovely , staff were very chatty and nothing was too much trouble , food excellent . Although not in the normal hot spot stays , this pub is in a quiet location but not far from anywhere . Highly recommend a stay here at this pub”

“The breakfast times could have been later, as finished at 9am on Monday. The bar was supposed to close at 11pm but was closed by 10.15pm. The rooms were basic and shower not powerful. However, were clean and still had everything that was needed. Lots of choice of food and drink and fresh.”

“The hotel has certainly gone downhill and rooms feel like they need a really good clean or refit. Carpets in both the communal areas and in the rooms are stained. Mattress was like a brick and towels like cardboard. Queues at the bar and sullen bar staff. Have stayed a few times pre and post flights but won't return again.”
