"The hotel has 2 properties 6 blocks apart, one has front desk, the other doesn't. So, we had to walk for 6 blocks after checked in. Fortunately, it was not raining. I found out after I left the hotel that the front desk personnal did not give back my license. Usually, hotels return your ID even before giving you the room key. He did not. Not only that, they did not bother to inform me during the 2 day stay or during check out. I found out my license was missing only after I got on a cruise. Imagine if that was the only ID I had. I could have missed the cruise. Fortunately, I had my passport. After the cruise I went to the hotel to stay there for another 3 days (premade reservation) and asked for my license. He showed me like 50-60 licenses people left behind. I knew he wanted me to feel better, but exposed a pattern of wrong practice on their part. I wonder how many people lost their flight or cruise because they completely failed to do the common curtesy of informing you that they forgot to give back your ID? That is a huge neglegence of the staff. Other than that, hotel is clean and has a good location."
