"Pet friendly. Lovely walks. Only problem was that the heating went off too soon. The time of year weather was variable. I am 75 and suffer frim Fibromyalgia so was a problen for me, also I gave allergies and have to use own soap and shampoo, nowhere in shower to lay soap at suitable height."

"I recently completed an eight-night stay at Montrave House, and it was exactly the peaceful retreat I needed. The house has a wonderful, deliberate pace to it that really allows you to decompress. I particularly loved the quiet atmosphere. The kitchen is well equipped if you are inclined to cook and the bedrooms and bathrooms were comfortable with on demand heating if needed The location is perfect for exploring. It served as a fantastic base for driving the back roads to the East Neuk villages, yet provided a serene place to return to and rest. Airin was a wonderful host, and the house itself felt very centered and welcoming. If you are looking for a place to truly settle in and appreciate the beauty of the Scottish countryside without feeling rushed I highly recommend Montrave House. Plan on returning for my next Scotland trip. "

"The apartment was fine and was conveniently placed in the centre of Cupar. It’s a basement property so no views. Getting the code for entry was a little stressful as it wasn’t available until an hour before our arrival. I understand that the code is changed with each stay but this could be predetermined not a random thing done as the maintenance person leaves, giving the code in the morning would be less stressful. The property was warm and well equipped, the beds and pillows were firm so may be too hard for some. On the whole cleanliness was good but it would be good if the maintenance people checked the kitchen equipment before the next guests arrive as the cutlery was a bit sticky and had to be washed before use and the wooden serving/chopping board were dirty. They had obviously been used to serve pizza and were encrusted with cheese and sauce. This was not immediately apparent as they had been stuck together. A quick check would have solved this even if it’s the guests responsibility to clean everything before use. "
