“I stayed in this hotel room and it was ridiculously hot to the point of being unbearable. The air conditioning either didn’t work or was completely ineffective, and the room felt like a sauna all night. I wasn’t able to sleep at all, which completely ruined my stay. For the price I paid, this is unacceptable. I would not recommend staying here until they fix their temperature control issues.”

“Travelled with family. Easy access to lock box outside. Spacious. Lovely 3 bedroom charactered house. Good location. En-suite bedroom on first floor with 4 poster bed with TV. Top floor have two bedrooms, would be perfect if there is another TV upstairs too for the children! Kitchen well equipped with dishwasher. Very pleased about the deep bath ! ”

Despite sending further messages via the hotels.com app, we had no idea how to get a key for the property. On arrival, there was no one there. We rang the helpline and were transferred to someone in USA who didn’t seem to understand our situation and offered a full refund. By chance, we discovered a key outside the……

“The atmosphere of this home is a bit more beautiful than the description. It is an easy walk to the town center and its Shakespearean dominance. Later in the day and back in the patio with the vast open space of the race track, one can get the best sound of silence possible, with the beautiful scene and distant figures having their daily stroll.”
