“We recently stayed at Rustic Riverfront Retreat on our drive to the midwest for Thanksgiving. The apartment was very clean and comfortable. It was much bigger than the pictures show, and it had everything we needed for our stay. The kitchen was well-equipped, and there were two full bathrooms and two sets of washer/dryer. “First time multiple night visit to Harrisburg. Third floor cozy apartment in a beautiful building facing the Susquehanna. All of the needed creature comforts, three head shower, comfortable bed and sofa, good Wi-Fi. Good food and drink within walking distance. We were also there during Artfest which was fabulous and right outside the door. If you are a baseball fane the Harrisburg Senators field is also within walking distance. Our host was gracious and kind. The space shows how much they care……

“The location can't be beat- right on the river and walking distance to everything you could want. That being said, the accommodations were average- it gives the vibe of DIY. If you have reactive dogs (luckily we don't) i would suggest staying elsewhere- you can hear all the movements of your neighbors. But again, location was awesome.”

“We stayed at this property last year but it was the 1st floor unit. The 3rd floor was just as nice and exactly what we needed. Definitely recommend! Will stay again.”

“My husband and I spent the weekend in Harrisburg with dinner, a show, and drinks. We wanted to find an affordable place to sleep for the night so that we didn't have to drive home, and this was perfect. The neighborhood was surprisingly quiet for being in the middle of downtown. It was a little too chilly to head to the walking path by the river, but it was very close, and the river is lovely. I was worried about parking, but it wasn't too tough to find a spot either in front of the building or……

“Exactly as the listing stated. Very little outside noise and easy parking in front. For our stay we didn’t need to worry about meter rules. Easily accessible and walking distance to everything downtown. The host was very communicative and attentive. We will definitely be back soon and have already began referring friends and family.”

“Immaculately clean and spacious apartment with a beautiful view of the Susquehanna River from the living room window. I stayed here for two nights on business and the apartment was stocked with everything I needed: hairdryer, clothes iron, extra towels, extra pillows, etc). The bed was comfortable and the sheets/towels were of good quality. Having a washer and dryer in the unit was also helpful. It was nice to have an off street parking spot for my rental car. The owner was communicative……

“Our stay was fine for what we needed. Just a few things that in my opinion would enhance the property without a big cost. Take out the carpet. It was very hot and the carpet did not help. Honestly need some air conditioning. There’s was only one glass in the place. No wine glasses. Offer a few more choices in glassware. Other than those minor changes, it was downtown exactly where we wanted to be within walking distance to the bar scene. Thank you for the hospitality.”

“Overall it was a great get away. The location was near most the restaurants. There was a good amount of noise at night. The house is right by the train station. The house itself was clean and everything you needed. Little difficult with the AC Units but we got it figured out and the TV was a little slo. But other than that, it was a good time. I would come back and stay here!”

“This is a really cute property that is in a great location in Harrisburg. If you hate city driving like me this is a fantastic property to stay. You’ll only have to drive about 4 blocks into the city before you can pull off to park for the property. The street is relatively clean and quiet and neighbors are polite. Please check out the Harrisburg Central Market right down the road for an awesome food selection!”

“The location is great for access to the captol and downtown. Lots of room and an easy-to-use kitchen. Good shower. I definitely enjoyed staying there and will look for it again next time. ”

“We stayed over Memorial Day weekend and had a wonderful time. The pictures really don’t do this cabin justice. We felt at home immediately and were grateful for all the amenities that the home offered. Mary, our host, reached out via email regularly to check in and make sure we were enjoying our stay. We loved being able to sit on the porch and listen to the creek while drinking coffee, walk across to the water to fish or to just lay in the sun. Our dog, River, loved swimming in the creek too.……
