“The apartment was great for two of us for one week. Access and communications were good. Shower was hot with adequate power. Bed was comfortable. Kitchen could do with some essentials, seasoning, oil, vinegar etc. but we ate out in the main. Town easy to access, 10 minutes downhill. Slower coming back uphill! We especially enjoyed watching the cruise liners come in and out of the harbour. Madeira/Funchal does have extremely steep narrow roads which you should be aware of if renting a vehicle.……

“Anna was the ultimate hostess. Her home was spotless and well cared for. The kitchen was well equipped, she offered suggestions of what to do and local restaurants to visit. The view was amazing and there was a very nice outdoor space to relax in. The personal touches made us feel welcome and at home. We would recommend and if ever coming back, we’d stay here again. ”

“Our stay in this apartment in Funchal was absolutely fantastic from start to finish. Despite our flight being delayed, we didn’t arrive until around 3am, and the host could not have been more accommodating—waiting up to greet us with a warm welcome and making sure we were settled in comfortably. That level of care really set the tone for the whole trip. The apartment itself was excellent—clean, spacious, and full of charm. “Great stay”

“while the weather was beyond anyone’s control, I had such a cozy stay and was perfect for the R&R that I needed. The grounds, the room and the entire property was so delightful though there were other guests. I don’t think I saw even one! It was truly so lovely in the rooms. I think everyone was cozied up by their fires during the rainy evenings. I really loved the grocery store, though the prices are a bit higher than in store, you’re paying for the convenience of all your necessities being……

“Het bovenhuis biedt een prachtig uitzichr op de oceaan aan de noordzijde van Madeira. Het is een goede uitvalsbasis voor zowel bezoek aan het westen ( pont Moniz ) of naar het oosten (Santana, en diverse wandel gebieden aldaar). Ponte delgado heeft een supermarktje en een benzinepomp. Leuk zijn de natuurlijke zwembaden in Seixal en Pont Moniz . De huiseigenaar Maria is vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Het huisje is qua inrichting wel wat gedateerd, maar het is schoon en alles werkt wel gewoon. Als je……
