“Had a wonderful one night stay for a special occasion. Our primary reason for visiting was the spa and it did not disappoint. We used it the afternoon of arrival and the following morning before breakfast. It was lovely in the cold and we hope to experience it in warmer weather too. We ate dinner in the hotel and it was very pleasant. Breakfast selection and quality was excellent. Only some minor feedback: I had a cocktail in the State Room and it was fantastic, and when ordering the same……

“Gardens very well kept a pleasure to sit out and relax. Food very good, the ham hock terine starter was great. Sasha our waitress serving breakfast was really lovely, just a glow about her. The smoked salmon and scrambled eggs were lovely.”

“Situated in the very centre of Kelso, convenient place to stay when exploring the area. Checkin was done very easily, with clear instructions sent beforehand. There is a Greggs just in front of the hotel, and also several restaurants and takeaways in close vicinity. There was double glazing in the room, and hence better insulation. ”

“Lovely hotel with very professional staff. Great breakfast and we upgraded our room to Deluxe Double which was lovely. Would definitely stay again next time we visit Melrose”

“The hotel has a large car park. The rooms were clean and warm. The hotel was taylored more for eating. The meals were excellent and the bar closed early after meals were finished. There were no casual bar customers. Pleanty of bars close by. The area was very safe and comfortable to walk around at any time..Nice friendly staff.”

“Not luxurious but full value for money. Single room had a decent bit of space. It was clean and had all I needed for an overnight stay. Nice hot shower and grand view of the Eildons. Reception staff were friendly and explained the process for late night hotel access very clearly. Would definitely use again.”

El restaurante sirve comida de calidad y las raciones son enormes. Nos atendieron estupendamente. La zona es preciosa. Esta vez nuestra estancia tuvo que ser corta pero esperamos volver para disfrutar más tiempo del lugar. ”
