Sunset on Sapelo Island, Georgia. Of all of the east coast states of the U.S., Georgia has probably done the best job of preserving the character of its coastline. Several of the islands of the coast, such as Cumberland, St. Catherines, and Sapelo (pictured) aren't accessible by road or bridge, and mingle almost imperceptibly with the salt marshes around them. Sapelo is home to a University of Georgia research institute that was instrumental in the creation of the academic field of ecology.

“A very nice condo in a great location! The unit is on the 3rd floor and there is an elevator and carts. You can see and hear the ocean at that level. The walk to the beach through the grasses and shrubs is beautiful! Nice wide beach. Everything I needed was in the condo including beach stuff in a storage unit. Communication was good and check-in was easy. St. Simon’s is beautiful and unusual. On,y 25% of properties are rentals, so it is a real low country town with gorgeous old trees festooned……

“We had an excellent weekend stay at this condo! Everything was exactly as listed and communication was great. You couldn’t ask for a more perfect view (and we’ve stayed at several at King and Prince). The covered personal parking space and ease of getting to the condo was great. The condo itself had everything we needed and was very comfortable. Also, you can use all of the amenities at the hotel. If ever booking again for St Simons, I will definitely look for this availability first!”

“Chip was incredible, very responsive to any questions we had before and throughout our stay. The condo was extremely clean and tidy, and the kitchen was very well stocked. The pool and hot tubs were well maintained, and the beach access was short and easy to find. The property as a whole had great security and management, especially for a busy holiday weekend. Looking forward to staying here again!”
