"This house is in an excellent location, very central. It is within short walking distance of every restaurant, theater, or shop we wanted to go to. The old house's wall air conditioners and standing fans were a little bit loud at times, but we felt glad that inside temperature was always comfortable, even in June. The house has a nice layout with comfortable furniture Our only negative was that there were ants and earwigs near the kitchen and bathroom downstairs. I recommend this place...

"Our multi generational stay at the Jacksonville Mountain retreat was great. Our family of 10 had all the room we could ever need and fantastic views of the nature around us. The kitchen is GREAT, room for everyone to gather and the hangout spaces fit our family perfectly. The kids had a blast in the downstairs area with bunk beds and games etc. We all enjoyed our stay and it was nice being in the Madrone forest but only 10 minutes to town."

"We actually stayed going to and coming from Portland, so two nights. The first night our room was on the bottom floor, facing the front of the property. Room size was very nice, but we could easily hear traffic on the busy thoroughfare out front, and our room had a door for connecting to the next room (and the guests in the next room were quite loud at night, need better insulation.) For the return trip we requested a room facing the back of the property, and that was much quieter. The breakfast selections were very good, a reason we selected the property. There is also an indoor pool and jacuzzi. The staff were pleasant."
