「I had a problem with my first room. Dirty towels and an unchanged bed. It was very unpleasant. The reception dismissed it as a normal occurrence and promptly offered a new room to look at. This was clean at least. The bathroom door did stick and I was locked in, (my partner had to kick it open) so this would be most distressing is staying alone. All this said, the room rates are well below average in the area, especially for a weekend.」

「We stayed in Room 18, it’s not the biggest and only has a small window looking onto a fire escape. It was clean and the bed comfy, but I prefer a bigger room.」

「I stayed at the Warwick, Southport from Friday 26th September - Monday 29th September during the British Musical Firework Championship 2025. Finding good-quality accommodation for a reasonable price during the weekend is almost impossible as establishments raise their prices as large numbers of people flock to the town for the weekend and many places selling out soon after the dates are announced. This is not my first stay, having come across The Warwick, Southport almost a year ago. 」

「The owner was there to meet me as I arrived. He clearly explained where everything was & options re: housekeeping, etc.. I just wanted to sleep, visit friends and relax, so was not too bothered re: daily housekeeping, as I wasn't at the property long enough daily to make a mess. After a couple of days, the owner asked if there was anything I wanted/needed as I had not requested anything. I said "no" as the room is stocked with more than enough towels. There is a kettle & plentiful tea and coffee...

「Loved every thing about this place. Fabulous cafe bar, ambiance, decor, service and food (I had tapas) all top notch - I would be a regular if I didn’t live 250 miles away. Room for the night was small but luxurious, comfy bed, great bed linen and great shower. Whoever designed and runs this place knows what they are doing. Excellent and thoroughly recommend visiting this little gem.」
