A305

Overall we had a good stay. We've stayed at other condos on this property and have always loved the pools and how close you are to the beach. However, I would not recommend this particular condo, A305. It's grungy and really outdated.

A great location to be with family

As soon as we walked in we loved everything about the resort. The view was amazing! and literally walking distance from the beach. The pools were never over crowded. The location itself was great, no complaints. The one thing i will say was kind of a disappointment was that we were expecting for one of the couches in the living room to have a futon, just as it was described on the description prior to booking, but there was not. But overall, my family and I were very pleased with our stay. Any questions or concerns, Vacasa was quick to respond and very helpful. We would love to stay here again if we were to go back to Florida.

New couch smell was horrible

First impressions were pretty good. The views were great. The condo was spacious. The full size washer and dryer in it’s own laundry room was great. Our feet were immediately black from dirty floors/carpet. We were notified Sunday night (the night we checked in) that they would be taking out the existing couches by one crew and having a new couch brought in later in the day. The property manager called apologizing for the inconvenience and said we would be compensated for it. We understood that times are different and you have to take what you can get. We were without couches for about 1/2 hour before leaving and came back in the evening to a new, beautiful sectional with a horrible chemical smell. We tried to open up the place and turn on the fan but it didn’t go away. I got a migraine and after the second day, I answered an email from Vacasa asking if there was anything else that could be done. The property manager contacted me later and offered to have another person come into the unit with an ozone machine. Instead of that, someone said there was a great spray that takes away odors. After that, the room smelled like someone spilled sweet and sour sauce and never cleaned it up. I let Vacasa know and did not get any response. I came home from vacation and checked my credit card statement and did not get any type of reimbursement, which was offered initially before the horrible smell.

Great Stay

Have been coming to this same property in Destin for 15 years now. Amalfi Coast has never disappointed in accommodations and amenities. Loved unit 305A that we stayed this time around. Great space, clean condo and great views of the property and Gulf from the balcony. Would definitely stay on this property again. Great for families and close to attractions, but yet not in the congested area of Destin.

Very messy place old rundown

Where do I start omg !! This place had a nice view that was about it of the ocean. My door secure lock handle inside was broke. There was big red water roaches crawling around in there. Candy rappers left on floor behind side table. The bath tubs were clogged water stayed afloat. It rained and the carpet got wet with doors closed carpet was soaked wet in the bedroom. Internet went out and the cable also did not work. The vaccume was full of crap and smelled like dirty feet and fish when we turned it on. The table mats wore dirty with food on them looked like pizza grease I had to wash before use. There was only two small pans to cook on. All the cooking pans ect was very worn out very old rusty looking. The elevator did not work had to walk to the other side to use farther away elevator. All the furniture in the place was very old fragile almost broken. Swimming pool stayed dirty the whole week we were there.

Amalfi Resort Destin */3/2020

unit 305 could have been a great place to stay but there is no follow up on maintainence issues and a lot of the issues were not current problems but lack of keeping the unit in proper working order in the long run. The front door security latch and the door stop were laying on a self by the front door, the master bedroom had no lights in it at all- one of the lamps had no stem to turn on the lamp and the only other lamp would not come on, same was true in another of the bedrooms the lamp stem to turn on was not there and the lamp had been unplugged - only light was coming from the closet and the bathroom ! The master bedroom bathroom sink would not drain while using it and no drainage in one of the other bathrooms shower would not drain- obviously this did not happen over nite and no one is checking up on this unit. The back door sliding screen was completely off the track and the screen itself needed to be replaced- the porch was a focal point to look out over the ocean and this really took away from the enjoyment. In addition we were not given a parking pass to park our car and we had read signs that cars without a parking pass would be towed. We arrived at our unit and observed all these problems and made a call to management at 4:27pm on that first day but no one called us back and so I called again the next morning at 9:41am again with no call back after being assured someone would call and come by for repairs - I called again at 5:17 pm and management assured me someone would come by the next morning. Someone did come by and did fix both drains and did replace the sliding door screen that morning. We were only staying for 4 nights and we were without repairs those first 2 nites. I would never rent again through VACASA - they must be too busy to make sure their properties are in proper working order

Excellent space

The only bad thing about this resort is that in order to get to the ocean you have to walk down about 30 steep steps and that’s not easy when you have coolers and beach wagon. Other than that the resort itself was great.

Great Condo. Convenient location.

Overall this Condo was great. The 3BR/3BA suited our family nicely. It is very spacious, and had nice, updated appliances. This 3rd floor condo had a great view of grounds, pools, and the ocean. Enjoyed the accommodations. However, a few minor things - the DVD remote in den didn't work; there were no batteries to the DVD remote in the Master BR; and the TV in 3rd BR only got one channel (weather channel), the other channels were static. Check in is not onsite, and after finding the office were told we had already completed paperwork and didn't have to go to office for checkin. We were not given any parking passes, and the day before we left were given a reminder to display our pass.

The property was in a great location!!!

This condo was in a great location. Good view of the water and a short walk across the street to the beach. We had 10 people and the only complaint was that the pull out couch mattress was in pretty poor condition and I felt bad for the people sleeping on it- master bedroom is great size- will say the appliances were easy to use and in great shape. They only give a couple of trash bags and very limited amounts of dish soap,dishwasher powder, etc. so if plan to do lots of cooking and clothes washing-- may want to bring more from home . Older fixtures but very clean!!!!!! Had two balconies with great views on each- we could sit on the balcony by the master and not have any problems seeing the pool area . Would definitely recommend this unit.
