The pool is simple and relaxing, nice spot when the suns out. The roof top bar/popup restaurant is a great Vibe. The staff up there are very friendly and in good spirits. Music plays at a chill, entertaining volume where you can still speak to friends and enjoy the ambiance. Stayed for 4 nights, the shared bathrooms were clean but you can also splurge on one of the many larger rooms. Great bang for the buck"

"Lovely little boutique hotel, The reception desk clerk was SO helpful and sweet. We walked up to the Jardim da Estrella and had some great sandwiches and the most beautifully tranquil atmosphere. The room itself was nicely decorated with a comfortable bed, incredible shower pressure and plenty of personality. My husband’s favorite part was that it’s all on the first floor, no stairs to deal with. I’m not sure of the parking situation as we didn’t have a car, but the hotel’s car service was perfect for getting to the airport for an early flight. Highly recommend. (P.S.—After 3 weeks in Portugal, the Sao Bento served the BEST Pastel de Nata we had)"

"Wonderful Stay at Chiado 44 – Exceptional Hospitality! Our stay at Chiado 44 was wonderful, but what truly made it special was the extraordinary kindness and hospitality of Isabelle. While visiting Lisbon, I experienced a very painful eye issue that required medical attention. Being in a foreign country and not knowing where to turn was overwhelming. Isabelle immediately stepped in to help, graciously making several phone calls on my behalf to find medical care. Thanks to her efforts, I was able to get to a hospital where I received the help I desperately needed. She went far above and beyond anything we could have expected. Her genuine concern, patience, and willingness to help meant more to us than she could possibly know. Chiado 44 is a lovely place to stay, but it is people like Isabelle who make a place truly memorable. We will always remember her kindness and are so grateful that we chose to stay here. I cannot recommend Chiado 44 highly enough. Thank you, Isabelle, for taking such wonderful care of us!"
