The view from the ceiling to floor window was of the rooftops and mountains in the distance and at night an urban scape of the lights of Kyoto. Great amenities and great helpful staff. The location was great as well. Overall it was my favorite hotel during my 21 state in Japan."

"The rooms are spacious by Japanese standards. The beds are very comfortable and the shower is excellent. The TV is equipped with Netflix and other streaming services and easy to use. The location is superb for exploring Gion and Higashiyama, and not far from a metro station to get to the rest of town. The free shuttle service to and from Kyoto Station is a nice bonus. The one negative is that the gym is quite small, with only a few free weights and a treadmill. If that matters to you, consider a guest membership at a nearby local gym or a different hotel. "
