“This property was located in a great spot - right downtown Southern Pines - near shopping and restaurants. HOWEVER, property was not what we expected. The outside patio overgrown and unkept. Upon entering there were two dead cockroaches in the entry way. Upholstered furniture was dirty and stained as well. Hand towel in bathroom had dirty marks on itand supply of other towels was less than desirable. Only two thin towels - white towels that appeared gray and one very old wash cloth. Bed……

“Tucked away but close to restaurants and shopping. Offers a lovely area to sit outside and enjoy cool evenings. ”

“The beds were very comfortable and the shower was amazing! Great water pressure. The kitchen and sitting area was perfect to enjoy a beverage and chat.Downtown Carthage had cute shops. We go every year for a tractor show, 100 years of progress in Ederville. It was perfect for our time away.”

“Great place to stay when in the area! Great location, clean, and quiet. The apartment had everything I needed. Short distance to Pinehurst/Southern Pines. The host communicated very well, and I had no issues. Would definitely book again!”

“Beautiful VRBO in perfect location. Will be back.”

“We really enjoyed Southern Pines, The Slate at The Shire is extremely convenient to walk to town, our car stayed parked the entire time. We came to visit Casino Guitars and wound up enjoying everything the town had to offer. The apartment is very clean and perfect for us. We enjoyed all the modern amenities. We would definitely stay here again.”

“This is a hidden gem of a place. The owner was great at communicating with us throughout our stay. We even had to extend the stay a few days more due to an unexpected emergency and he was most accommodating. Would rebook this stay again. Incredible experience.”

“We enjoyed sitting on the porch and watching the golfers. The porch is covered and the tree cover kept the heat away from us. Great plus. Everything was above and beyond other places we have rented because of the obvious thought and care the owners used it putting it all together. Above expectations for classiness. ”

“Property was ok. Owner was unresponsive to a problem with the property. Beds were very uncomfortable”

“Unit was nicely apportioned. Location was great. It was very quiet. Bedroom was a little tight. Unit was very well stocked.”
