“It was very unique! Stayed in a very historical and clean home of Captain Stephen Daniels. We respected his home and learned a lot of history of Salem in our stay!”

“The place isn’t horrible but it also isn’t great. Very budget level, you get what you pay for. The futon is not usable as a bed- we’re taking rock-floor hardness. Be warned the stomping begins at 5am during the weekend. This isn’t your regular level of childhood rambunctiousness either. This kid was trying to break through the floor at one point I’m pretty sure they were using furniture to attempt to smash a hole in the basement ceiling. No sounds of reprimanding or reminders to be respectful to……

“At the beginning, I booked only 1 night here, however after I lived here, I couldn’t help keeping booking one night more and more, Even sharing bathroom, couldn’t bother me too much about that, And I had been kept Stayed at Room 301(Sturfs) for all my stay here, which is a Small but Warm room with romantic view of Commonwealth Eve in the snow, and a small white shelf with a Lot Of Wonderful Books. Breakfast are Healthy, Coffee and Tea are nice and supplied in 24 hours. If there is not a……

“I got as far as driving into the neighborhood and decided it did not feel safe and would not be comfortable parking my vehicle. I drove the 2.5 hours home rather than stay there”

“Joan is very friendly and helpful. She seeks to accommodate guests in whatever way she can. My room was quiet and had a private bathroom and shower. I was able to arrive quite late my first night, around 2am, and was left clear instructions on how to get in. Everything was clean and charming. Thanks Joan!”
