「Amazing locations and great hotel. Generally clean and well maintained throughout. In the room, pillows were flat (they were huge and the filling didn't stay put) and the room a bit too warm. Restaurant staff not particularly attentive. Breakfast was good.」

「Being a Thursday the hotel is relatively quiet but that’s not the hotels fault and I’m here for 3 days but only been here for a couple of hours, better reviewing after I check out but I’ve given the star ratings based on the hotel quality 」

「We were given a lovely little lodge in courtyard with downstairs Tv area & bathroom and a mezzanine upper where the comfiest of beds were situated. The bathroom was beautiful, massive shower cubicle! The hosts were brilliant, even down to being shown which parts of the building were eldest & a centuries old stone winding staircase that was used by soldiers in the days of fighting over the English Scottish border. 「What a venue! I'd always heard about Close House as a great location for golf, but never really thought of it as a place to stay. Its small enough to be personal and intimate. Not a huge venue that can feel overwhelming. Credit to all the staff, polite, welcoming, and always served with a smile.」

「Beautiful hotel, spotlessly clean and very comfortable. Our room was stunning with a great view of the garden complete with baby rabbits munching on the flowers. Food was great and so was the service. The grounds are lovely for a walk.」
