Cahuita Playa Cahuita Hotels

"What a beautiful property! There was always enough shade in and around the pools, and excellent bird watching within the hotel grounds. The location was excellent, with the beaches, national park, and town/restaurants within easy walking distance, but it was nice and peaceful at the hotel itself. Our room was nice and the shower was excellent. The only problem was the lack of soundproofing - we heard every word and footstep from the suite above. The staff were exceptional and very helpful with booking a driver to take us to Limon airport "

"This delightful eco lodge felt so laid back and relaxed, while also providing lovely amenities that we felt so taken care of. We stayed in one of their queen-bed bungalos which was open air (but screened in) and had a hot shower. Only having wifi at the lodge meant we fully unplugged while in our little jungle home, but we're still able to have access in the common area for trip planning which was helpful. We loved being able to walk across the street to Playa Chiquita, which has the loveliest little tree covered beach spots for reading and spending the day. The staff was so friendly and welcoming, and our room came with complimentary breakfast and fresh juice / smoothie which was so nice to have and always different every day. It was also very cool to be in the jungle... The pathways between the different areas of the property were lovely to walk on and we saw so much wildlife (including monkeys swinging in the trees overhead!). Having the yoga deck was also great because there were options for classes. We did a sound bowl with a local energy worker and intuitive which was a special experience. I would definitely recommend to friends! "

"Location is nice and convenient, close to ocean and national park. Issues we had (and hence 3 stars) are: rooms are very dark, very dim lighting, showers had no hot water half the time and when there was hot water then pressure in shower was very weak, dribble. Breakfast was good and nature all around. "

"Wonderful location and accommodations for our group of 7! The property is located only 2 blocks from the entrance to Parc Cahuita beach but the gardens and landscaping screen all the surrounding properties and you have total privacy. We sat in the open living room and watched monkeys, beautiful birds and agouti play in the garden. The largest grocery store and all of the restaurants and bars of Cahuita were steps away. You are easy walking distance both to Parc Cahuita but also Playa Negra. The kitchen was well stocked (including Tupperware!) and there were large tables for dining and playing games during the rain. Leslie the host was exceptional in terms of answering questions, arranging transport from the airport and generally making our stay comfortable. Would highly recommend both for location and property itself."

"What a beautiful property. We had 10 of us plus a one year old baby. We love the swimming pool. Every couple had their own room and bathroom. Yves (our host) Was awesome. He took great care of us and had perfect recommendations. We literally sat in the pool/house and watched about 15 monkeys in the tree above us and a sloth. Great little community with lots to do and amazing beaches. "
