Wonderful attentive staff. Restaurants à la carte great and delicious. Buffet ranging from local food to Chinese to even poke bowls and sushi. The rooms clean and well stocked . Our favorite restaurant was the Italian The only little thing that could be improved would be the check in. It took way too long and after a full day of travelling all you want to do is get to your room and start to relax. The idea of a pre check in was wonderful but was not used at all in the end. Viva playa del Carmen. The power snorkel at xelha was toooo much fun.

There is no airport shuttle provided by the resort, however on their site they have a link to book with a trusted company. Pickup was smooth, took a little time waiting around but it was no issue! My husband and I booked a private shuttle for just us two. It was a smooth 30 min ride from the airport The staff were all helpful, beautiful, friendly people looking to help make our stay comfortable Our room was a 10/10. Very clean and beautiful modern style. We had a swim up room with was nice but not as I expected since they were renovating areas of the resort near the room. The tv was a nice size and comfortable enough for my husband and I to even put something on Netflix and relax and lay down. Wow, the wildlife on the resort was my favorite. Coati run this place. We even saw a monkey! I am a fan of Mexican food so I was disappointed to find there were more American cuisine options in the buffet than anything else. There was a nice variety of things in the buffet though. There are also other food spots around like a sports bar and a poolside fast food spot. Even an ice cream parlor. The dine in restaurants were a much nicer option once we made reservations. It’s all included which was nice. There were plenty of restaurants to choose from. The resort was big with lots of areas to lounge. The beach was nice too but the pools definitely dominate. When we were there they were doing renovations so keep that in mind. It didn’t affect our stay really.

Staff were all exceptional. Particularly Francisco, Enrique, Maria, Vanessa & Francis. Room & pool area very clean and nice. Food at buffet was...buffet food. Meh. Large selection, always about the same. Some items would get hard (had to saw through a crepe with a steak knife) but about what you'd expect at buffett. This place is beautifully expansive but there are some trip hazzards (sunken bricks etc) on the main walkway leading from lobby area to rooms. I was able to get 15,000 steps/day without trying. Great for me but older people & those that may have mobility issues should be aware. Didn't see any monkeys except a little one that had a tight collar and leash that a man brought around the pool area to sell selfies with. It was quite disturbing. Large selection of pools, active and quiet. Very nicely kept. Lots of wildlife, especially coati & deer everywhere.

We stayed in a Platinum Plunge Pool Suite. I’d recommend you pass on the plunge pool, it doesn’t see any sun- the suite is very private, comfortable. The resort itself is very big, a bit too big for my preference but I’m sure it would appeal to others, they do have a shuttle to help get around quicker when needed - the riviera side was under construction but it didn’t affect the daily activities and we didn’t notice any noise at night. We didn’t get to enjoy many of the a la carte restaurants as they book up way too fast - this was disappointing. The buffet is very well setup with lots of variety - the 24 hour sports bar is a nice spot to enjoy drinks and food in a casual environment.

Bartenders were very nice , but the quality of the alcohol was not good Rooms were very modern and clean with a slight moldy smell Buffet gets a 10 out of 10 for quality and selection Restaurants were ok with small menus Gary at the steak house gets a 10 out of 10 excellent service from Gary The resort is clean and safe. Unfortunately the beach was taken over by seaweed and not pleasant. The resort should do a better job of controlling the coadies (mix between a raccoon and aunt eater ) they will take food right of your hand or drag your bags into the bushes Over all 8 out of 10

The property was clean the staff where nice the food was great with good times and variety. I would stay here again. Many people who came who stayed this is a repeat stay, one couple saying this is the 5th time. The rooms where beautiful, and the staff where very attentive the pool was clean the beach was in seaweed season so not the property’s fault but the bar and the beach itself beautiful !

We really enjoyed the newly renovated rooms. Only suggestion would be that the showers have somewhere other than the floor to put bath products. They needed to have a shelf in the bathroom. The property was clean and the staff was very friendly. We really enjoyed our time and would go back. In the future we would like to be able to reserve our restaurants in advance we couldn't do that in advance because we didn't have our room number to do it online prior to arrival. We had to eat at the buffett most days since the reservations were mostly booked up before our arrival.

We just came back and we had a wonderful stay! Part of the resort was being renovated, but that didn't bother me. Obviously, renovations are necessary and the renovations that were done on the room we stayed in was beautiful. Walking the property, I was very impressed with how clean things were. The employees of this resort work hard and their hard work shows. I would definitely come back to this resort. The pools were nice, the food was great, the massages we received at the spa was wonderful, and we felt so pampered. Definitely recommend and look forward to coming back when the renovatons are completed.

Loved our stay here, the place is beautiful, lots of different food. The beach has lots of seaweed but the hotel had people cleaning it up. The beach was nice but it is very rocky, definitely recommend water shoes!

Multiple pools and areas to relax. The drinks were top notch, specifically Javier at the Lobby bar made the best drinks & was overall a very nice and funny person. Definitely will recommend this resort to many people!
